Fanfiction Firefox Error

The Sly FoxThe Sly Fox USAPosts: 467MI6 Agent
First I would like to say thanks to SiCo for adding the latest fan novel to the site. {[]

It's great to see the cover art for Obsidian Masquerade on the front page! The only problem is that it doesn't show up under Firefox. On the home page, the text shows up fine, but the cover art picture only seems to show up under Internet Explorer. It shows in Firefox when you navigate to the novel's download page.

Just thought I would point this out. Hope it helps. :)

Hmm it works fine for me on Firefox 2. What actually happens, a blank space, half an image, a cross / non found image. Try right clicking and selecting properties and see if you can paste me some of the details.

Make sure you can view the following image in Firefox:

Otherwise check you don't have any plugins that may think it's an advert. If anyone else has this problem please let me know...

All it shows is a blank space with the box downsized and the text moved up to compensate for the empty space. But after some tinkering, I found that the problem was in the browser settings and not the site. After looking into some of Firefox's settings, I found that you were right about an advert filter blocking it. It was the fact that it's in a folder labeled "adverts" that caused Firefox to block it. I was able to disable the filter for this site so that it wouldn't block it anymore. The interesting thing is that if you view the image by itself (as with the link you provided) it still shows up even with the filter enabled... :S

AdBlock is a brilliant add-on for Firefox (keeps those silly eye-blasters at bay), but it's not perfect... 8-)

By the way, here's the details you requested. :) I highlighted the box and used "view selection source." This was what I got:

Glad it's sorted and you found the problem. I'll have to rename the folder I store adverts in from now on ;)
