) love all the versions and think the new films are brilliant. Maybe you could post this on the collection thread as I'm sure they'd appreciate all the work involved. I only wish I had the skill to make modles or props.

Nah, that's BOND collection... but I'm curious, what are your favourite Trek movies? I really like all 1 thru 6 a lot (5 I have to make a lot of refrigerator stops to get through, sometimes). A lot of folks like 2 the best, but I actually like 1 a bit better. Very 2001-ish. 4 & 6 just rock.

That is brilliant! The detail to the Trek V and VI battle phaser is great!
The look and colour conveys the "weight" of this weapon compared to earlier phaser pistols.

Have to disagree on what you refer to as the Scooby Doo bit. It makes sense clarifying who the assasin actually was. An element that did not make sense in the original version with it being a "generic" Klingon.

I was fine with it being a Klingon who, like Cartwright, was feeling the severe need to let their 'cold war' continue.

Well, not sure how else they could have revealed West, but with Chang on the Bird Of Prey, and West as Cartwright's point man it just made more sense to me. Esp after West said the wrong thing in the President's briefing.

Will the phaser be the first of a series of items?

I like films I - VI but V is the weak link. The Directors cut version of I is really good.

About half of them came out dodgy. 8-)

This is my 2nd favourite phaser, and it's hard to get so I decided to make some. I have no plans to make any others- the original series gun is available from Diamond Select and looks great with very little modification.

Yeah, aside from the PPK, I don't know guns at all. I sculpted the whole things from photos, and then at an army/navy store I saw an airsoft Beretta 93 and imagine my relief when I realized I got it more or less right!

What sharp eyes you have, C&D! I've made a few of those as well, but not from scratch. Not-so-good resin kits that I had to slavishly accurize...

Great job! I had a go a few years back, also from a resin kit, but it didn't turn out anywhere near as well as yours!

it's what I do.
