(TB2 places a rack of used glasses in the dishwasher. He proceeds to start putting a rack of clean ones away behind the bar. Holly is snoozing, Digits is looking through the big book of recipies. All is quiet.)

...and so then I watched Agent One Of The Secret Service. That was actually pretty good in a ha ha spoof kind of way.

I also rewatched Skyfall on Prime (HD splendour don't you know.) Dunkeld, Pitlochry, and Aviemore are all missing on the map of Scotland! Very unsatisfying to say the least. What do you think?

(Holly's whiskers twitch and one paw moves as she dreams. Digits turns a page in the book, the A.R.S.E. is as silent and dark as always. C.H.E.E.K.S is in recharge mode...)

    Oh, why do I bother?!

This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

    The usual, thank you.

Oh, foreigners like to do small talk. Let's see ...... have you read your PMs lately, TB2? Or maybe that's medium-sized talk?

I just realised this establishment doesn't have a Christmas tree, so I brought you this. I hope it isn't overblown, but it will make sure to go out with a bang on new years eve. 😊

Is is the booze thread? If I get a Christmas brandy, would it be okay with my namesake tipple Napoleon or should I stick out for Hennessey, which is name checked by Bond near the end of OHMSS?

Given some Mince Pies - like the Waitrose ones with cognac, surely the best - have it in anyway as do Christmas puds, is the drink that worthwhile anyway just by itself? Could I have it on my Weetabix?

A large scoop of Gelatissimo vanilla ice cream in a heavy crystal glass tumbler, 200ml of Bailey’s original poured on top, two pieces of Lindt milk chocolate and a chilled silver spoon, please, landlord. Christmas decadence in a glass. Go on, try it, you can thank me later 😁

Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

Re Booze thread? I suppose it is in a way.

But, we need a booze expert. I can mix drinks and serve them, but I am not a Booze brain. (In either sense!)

24, Thanks for the Cake tree / The Tree cake. What is it actually made of? We have the oudoor lights sprinkled on the three trees you provided before in the beer garden. They keep getting bigger and bigger, but are a beautiful focal point of the garden.

The tree is made of balloons - very modern!

Digits, I see you are reconfiguring the connectors again.

How is that reboot software working out?

    πŸ₯žπŸ’¨πŸŒ‘πŸ˜¨βœ‹πŸΌ βœοΈπŸΌπŸ«΄πŸΌπŸ€πŸΌπŸ€–πŸ“–πŸ•‘πŸ”‹πŸ”‹πŸ€žπŸΌ

It pancaked and blew out the relays?

That explains the power drains. You have to rewrite the replacement reboot software? That makes sense.

    πŸ₯ΆπŸ•‘πŸ€–πŸ’βŒ›οΈβ—οΈπŸ˜πŸ€ŒπŸΌ

Oh the A.R.S.E's long term memory and ident files are secure, but the specialist software he needs requires rewrites so they can auto- upload? Ok, keep me posted.

(Holly pads up to TB2 with a fresh note.)

    Oh Hullo cat now what?

    (Reading)

'Dear Thunderbird 2. We learned of the problems you have had in resusitating the A.R.S.E. We are going send you a software data package that will help Digits complete the repairs and ensure the A.R.S.E. can self diagonse himself once he is online again.

Have faith, You are almost there.

Pending the outcome, we may be able to provide some additional defence measures for you and your staff. More on that as it develops. Bond HQ.

P.S. Please tell Digits we are very proud of his hard work. B HQ.'

Well Digits I have been saying that from the day you joined us!

So Digits is a dab hand at electronics too? How useful!

  • Thunderbird 2Thunderbird 2 East of Cardiff, Wales.Posts: 2,932MI6 Agent

He is, but in this case its more integrated Software programming 24...

(T B2 hands over a somewhat large Coke Zero. A small toy Q Boat is floating on the surface, but a King Pipeline strae prevents complications.)

...but in this case its more I.T. programming. In order forThr A.R.S.E. and C.H.E.E.K.S to do their work, the pub has a nervous system of software programmes and potentials. Lotta automation. So as much as a lot of this is rebooting, its also re-networking him back into thr system.

I have neither the I.T. skills ot knowledge, amd I can't as Grandfather Q to scoot ovet from the States on short notice. Digits however, has read every volume of the l 'Handy Computer System Operation' Manuals.

(Growling noises from the upstairs landing)

Yes Holly I know! I'm heading to bed now. You settle!
