Longines and Omega are owned by the same parent company: Swatch Group. I don't think a Longines contract would be an impediment to him becoming an Omega ambassador as James Bond.
FWIW, a well informed Omega source has said the long anticipated revamp of the Seamaster Professional 300m is coming in 2025 Q2. This includes new/different case sizes and a revised bracelet. The recent black wave no-date release is a transitional model using mostly current production parts. It is believed that the wave dial used on the 60th Anniversary Bond model and recent black no date release will be a feature of the new Seamaster.
Forgive my naivety but given it's a subject I'm not familiar with, I prefer asking. Is that supposed to mean we'll likely get concrete news about the film in 2025 Q2?

Having just gotten out of GLADIATOR II (or, as per the titles, GLADIIATOR), I think the producers could do worse than Paul Mescal. But after this wait, I might be willing to take anyone...even either of the dudes who played the degenerate twin emperors.
There's a great parody article in the December issue of 'Viz' magazine:
"Listen Carefully With Mother, OO7!
"With the dust finally settling on Daniel Craig's explosive final appearance as James Bond in 'No Time To Die', the rumour mill is once again speculating on who is next in line to don OO7's iconic tuxedo.
"Traditionally, the part of the spy has been played by white male actors such as George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton, but even though series producer Barbara Broccoli hinted in a recent interview that Bond could be any ethnicity or race, she still believes that the character needs to be played by a human being.
"But what if the next James Bond was a TV puppet?
"It might sound outlandish, but with production costs for blockbusters increasing every year due to inflation, recasting the Bond franchise with puppets and scaled down model sets instead of expensive location shoots could be a great way of maximising profits for the film studio.
"And the move would also please those critics who feel that recent portrayals of Bond have been too serious, with wise-cracking children's favourites promising a welcome return to the golden era of Roger Moore's tongue-in-cheek, Boxing Day Bond.
"And no one knows more about puppet casting than 'Thunderbirds' creator Gerry Anderson. With a casting directory of kids' TV favourites of appropriate adult age to choose from, the late marionette impresario here brings us his cut-price OO7 movie casting suggestions... for our eyes only."
The article then makes no fewer than 13 illustrated casting suggestions, with accompanying detailed write-ups, including either Basil Brush (Mr Kiss Kiss "Boom! Boom!"), or the be-monocled ventriloquist's dummy Lord Charles, as Bond; 'Play School''s Jemima as Miss Moneypenny; 'Rainbow''s Zippy as Jaws; Pinky and Perky as Wint and Kidd; and 'The Sooty Show''s Soo and 'The Magic Roundabout''s Florence as feisty Bond girls for the modern era!!
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

I still think Cavill is the only option, I haven't seen anybody else with the gravitas or charisma to carry a big franchise like Bond. A lot of people have mentioned actors who have a done a lot of quiet, soulful little dramas and not much else. Can somebody show me a clip of Dickinson in a movie commanding a scene or Aiden Turner wowing everyone with his charisma? I just haven't seen anyone else with the right presence or carries themself the right way to be Bond.
Lifestyle guide to the products and locations featured in the James Bond films.
I'm justifying posting this video here because the interviewer asks Michael Fassbender if he the next 007 after Craig, but actually i didn't find a better thread for it. it turns out Fassbender did screentest for CR:
I like him - I'm thinking of the assassination scene in the previous season, and most recently, he showed a bit of that Bondian charm in s02e03, at the dinner party.
Always have an escape plan. Mine is watching James Bond films.
Head of Amazon MGM Studios films, Courtenay Valenti, said: "Don’t get too excited. Please know that we’re taking the time to do this with care and deep respect. It is the dream of a lifetime for all of us to bring audiences this next chapter, and it’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly."
Valenti continued: "What I can tell you is this: when you pair one of the most beloved franchises in history with a world-class filmmaking team, including the brilliant director Denis Villeneuve, extraordinary producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman, executive producer Tanya Lapointe, and screenwriter Steven Knight, you’re setting the stage for something that’s truly worthy of the Bond legacy."
"That film is coming, and when the time is right, we’ll have much more to share."
So, with a 2028 release date expected, unsurprisingly, a Bond actor announcement this year is highly unlikely. I'd imagine after announcing a director and writer last year they felt the need to say something now.
Craig wasn't officially announced as Bond until late 2005, a few months before filming. I'm guessing a late 2027 Bond26 actor announcement.
And all the actors mentioned so far can all be written off, clearly no decision has been made, and won't be until they have to. I'm hoping for an unknown myself.

No, not at all.
Welcome aboard!
Paul Mescal would be ok… can’t say I’d be super excited about it either though.
Welcome, alexyeo. 👍

Nope. Not at all.
I have no idea. I don't mean to imply the two are connected. Although they might be.
I do know that Omega's plan was to cease production of the NTTD Seamaster once the new movie was announced.
The next James Bond should never be a woman says Gemma Arterton.
I like her, 'a man wouldn't be cast as Mary Poppins,' or would that be Mike Poppins, POV.
I'm surprise she's surprised QoS 'follows her around'. I guess some people don't understand the cultural significance of the Bond movies.

You have to hand it to Viz - that’s brilliant…and no doubt Barbel will be along in a few days with an Imaginary Conversation 😏😬
😁 No, I don't think I could top that.
😄😄😄
The next Bond actor hasn't been born yet.
By the time the new film goes into production he (or her?) will be just the right age.
Author of 'An Ungentlemanly Act' and 'Execution of Duty'. The WW2 espionage series starring Harry Flynn.
At my advanced age that doesn’t bring a smile. Not doubting it, of course.
Harris Dickinson.....

Daniel Craig, Michael Fassbender, Henry Cavill and idris Elba were in my opinion the best candidates in 2006.
Well, it's late, you can all stop typing and slam your laptops shut.
Foorballer Jack Grealish is in his early 30s and his game isn't going so well.
So there you have it.. the next James Bond.
Roger Moore 1927-2017
He’s not in his 30’s…he’s 29 - so possibly a bit young yet 🤭
He looks more like a Jamie Bond
Team,
Daredevil Born Again has convinced me that our new 007 ought to be:
I like him - I'm thinking of the assassination scene in the previous season, and most recently, he showed a bit of that Bondian charm in s02e03, at the dinner party.
Have you seen the latest episode?
Check it out - I got very clear glimpses as a Dalton/Brosnan hybrid.

Hard to believe No Time to Die wrapped filming in 2019 and we're talking about the next film arriving almost a decade later.
