But isn’t it more nazi like to omit one’s opinion or only suggest one type of person could be eligible for the role?
Anyway like I said, please show me the actors with Blavk hair (non blonde) and I guess a darker complexion (your requirements?) that in your opinion would be good candidates or frankly stop whining about and casting aspersions if you don’t have an actual argument or person to suggest.
Remember there was quite an uproar to Craig and he knocked it out of the park and through the stratosphere for a time before another inevitable backlash because you cannot please everyone.
Or him? Who are your choices? Frankly never mind , you win I’m desperately trying to understand something that probably isn’t there. I’ve stepped right into the troll trap. Carry on
I do remember the uproar, it was undeserved in that case. In this case it is not undeserved, given the context and the current sentiments toward Disney and the lack thereof towards DC Entertainment and 007 First Light.

I think Fleming made Bond Scottish after Connery was cast. Regarding Gibson. I'm not a video game guy in the slightest however from what I have seen of the new Bond video game a couple things to take into consideration: the Bond in the video game I think is supposed to be a young Bond; it's a digitized/computer rendered image modeled on Gibson and it appears they have darkened him up a bit in both hair and skin tone. Gibson would not be my choice as the new cinematic Bond.
How, if at all, can First Light influence Bond26? From what I understand the game has been under development for about five years, and Amazon has only been working on Bond for a few months. So I doubt amazon has given the game developers much in the way of pointers on how they plan to proceed with the cinematic Bond. But if First Light proves to be very successful I suspect Amazon will take a long hard look at exactly what elements worked particularly well and then try to use that in the movie. But I haven't played a computer game in many years, so what do I know? what's your take on this?
I think the two things (game and cinematic Bond) are separate and will be siloed off. As you note, this game was developed while EON was in control. I doubt Amazon has had much, if any, influence. Indeed, the game was announced before NTTD premiered, and before Amazon had even bought MGM. That’s not to say Amazon won’t do the same thing—i.e., a younger Bond earning his stripes. But I doubt the game influences what they do one way or the other. If anything, the game tells us one angle EON was possibly considering, but they were clearly undecided on what direction to take with the films.
There are other elements in the game Amazon may use, such as a younger actor playing Bond, his more Ethan hunt-like wardrobe and bringing back sexual double entendres.
I want to warn against over-use of the word "nazi". Even if you feel censored there is a lot more to nazism, and we all know Barbel isn't a nazi. Keep it clean, please.
With the Variety story claim that Amazon is looking for a Bond actor under 30 I decided to trawl hard through IMDB Advanced Name Search for potential candidates. I don't think Tom Holland is going to be 007.
My search criteria were, 5 10' minimum height, have a solid acting track record and recently worked, were Caucasian and from a commonwealth country. I mainly searched for England, Scotland, Ireland, and for British and got a few Australian and Canadian actors included. While Amazon is said to be looking for someone under 30, I stretched the possible age to 35 in 2028. A lot of actors under 30 looked very boyish and don't have the Bond look. For those younger fresh faced I tried to imagine what they could look like in future and could they be the handsome killer that Bond has to be. I don't think Bond should really be the pretty boy they opted for with Brosnan and Moore. Both of whom were in their 40s when they took on the role. So, here are the results, in no particular order, I hope they are food for thought, and debate.
I can only make the most shallow of assessments based on this, but right now I only see a potential Bond in Fabian Frankel and Jay Duffy. Some of them are short and ,most of them look too young and and not thought to me. I would also try an IMDB search where also non-white actors are included. Maybe increase the age to 40 in 2028?
I don’t really get rejecting actors based on looks alone. Bond needs to be really well-acted first and foremost, let the looks come later. Good effort finding some names not often seen. Of those I only have seen Woodall and Dudman, and I was considering Woodall as he’s a good-looking fella who’s been getting bigger and bigger roles recently. I’m not 100% convinced by him based on what I’ve seen, but you never know.
I agree with Fabian Frankel, who was in House of the Dragon and while his role is small, I thought he had potential. In a similar vein I thought Knigthfall's Tom Cullen would have been a good candidate but he is too old now. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3665787/?ref_=tt_cst_t_1
There maybe actors working in UK theaters who may have little TV and no film and no IMDB presence and so I wouldn't rule out a complete unknown. I can imagine Barbara having some theater actor tips for Amy Pascal.
It's true looks are subjective, and the screen test is all important, but I think the lesson to be learnt from Connery and Craig's popularity is that Bond has to look like a killer, and some sort of handsome second. I deliberately avoided pretty boys.
Screen presence is the most important factor for me. Moore and Brosnan weren't expected to hold up to the same standards of an Olivier or Day-Lewis in the range department, but they had massive charisma.
For people who still think known names could be the next Bond, remember Pascal was involved in the selection of the new Bond after DAD and in 2004 and 2005 the names going around the media for the new Bond were, Dougray Scott, Julian McMahon (recently died from cancer), Eric Bana, Clive Owen, Ioan Gruffud, Adrian Paul, Gerard Butler, James Purefoy and Idris Elba.
Now it's known. The point I was making was that at the time, they were unheard of and were not rumoured candidates while the known names like Dougray Scott, were routinely reported, including poor Idris. Assuming a 2028 release, the person they announce in late 2027 is going to be someone most people have not heard of.

Yep, not worth the effort.
How are we now at this conclusion?
But isn’t it more nazi like to omit one’s opinion or only suggest one type of person could be eligible for the role?

Who is it? Let me see their work!

Ok…no one has any idea what you are on about - and name calling is just pathetic, so you can stop that.
I’d like you to PM me with some form of explanation of what point you are trying to make.
He was only in it for Barbara. Jeff Bezos is not his type. Not after the makeover.

Who is this person?
It’s a nobody. I wouldn’t worry about it…that’s why I’ve removed the image…
Okay ....
Nazi
Tsk, tsk. You were warned above.

Well done, Someone. Some of those look the part, all right.
I can only make the most shallow of assessments based on this, but right now I only see a potential Bond in Fabian Frankel and Jay Duffy. Like I said, my assessment is very superficial.

Agree. But I will say that Daniel Day-Lewis might have made a great Bond. Guy is such an incredible actor he would have transformed himself into Bond.
I think it's generally known that Henry Cavil and Sam Worthington were the final three together with Daniel Craig.
Sam Worthington really? He is a charismatic black hole. The guy has no presence at all.
His audition tape for the role is online—as are many of others if you're curious.
Now it's known.
