When i want to post on these topics it can be difficult to find the right thread, so I started a new one. News, ideas and thoughts in general about gadgets, cars, planes, snowmobiles etc.
I have an idea about gadgets. The Swedes have developed a thermal camouflage for their CV-90 infantry fighting vehicle that dramatically lowers the heat signature of the vehicle or even changes it to something smaller and less threatening. it's called Ghost. This could be something for 007's car, the villain's enormous yacht and so on.
But a military vehicle disguising as a civilian car is probably a war crime .....

That is a very interesting piece of kit which I had no idea existed.
I think so. So many uses. A killer drone is searching for Bond's car at night, but only sees a moped. A Royal Navy ship searches for the villain's megayacht and sees a fishing boat. And so on.
You can also imagine a thermal camoflage poncho using the same technology. Could be fun. Bond and the Bond girl are trying to get into the villain's lair. She isn't the agent type with combat training. Two men guarding the lair scans for attackers with thermal binoculars, but they only see the heat signature of a voluptous woman. The two men smile at each other and relax. Moments later a person in a poncho comes out of the darkness and walks up to the guards, The person takes the hood of the poncho down. It's Bond! "Do I look hot?" he quips and punches the guard out. 😁
That sounds like a great trick for a PTS.
A good gadget can be used several times and in different ways. I think this is that type of gadget.
A Jaguar E-type Zero would be perfect Bond girl car. 1960's elegance mixed with a modern electric engine and other up to date technology.
This vehicle .... gadget ...... whatever would've been great in a Bond movie!
It could still be worked in, somehow.
The Jaguar F-type seems like a good replacement if James Bond won't continue driving a an Aston Martin:
An irresponsible pilot proves that more of the plane/car chase in SPECTRE should've taken place on the ground:

I've always liked the F type. A more affordable and understated Aston. Unfortunately, it's no longer made. Production of the F-Type, along with the XE and XF models, ended in June 2024. The end of an era.
It's all part of Jaguar's radical transformation strategy. The brand is repositioning itself as a low-volume, all-electric luxury carmaker, which represents a complete departure from its traditional business model of competing with premium German brands like BMW and Audi in the executive and sports segments.
It's a huge gamble on its part. Living in Warwickshire (the heartland of JLR - Jaguar Land Rover), I for one, hope it's a gamble that pays off! The area would be affected hugely were they to fail and collapse.
Again my lack of knowledge about cars is exposed. Damit! But I do hope Jaguars new strategy works.
Bit on the nose, but today's Metro newspaper features a flying car - yours for around £600K - peanuts to the likes of Elon Musk, mark you.

I'm moving some of my vehicle and gadget suggestions from the Locations thread because this is their natural habitat:
I've mentioned the posibility of Bond movies using drone taxis earlier. Bond has used cutting edge transportation before and I think passenger drones would fit this tradition nicely. I doesn't have to be in an action scene, it could just be a way to make a exposition scene or transportation scene more visulally interesting. Maybe Bond visits the blillionaire villan by a passenger drone?
Here is a short video of a taxi drone being tested in Dubai back in 2017. My guess is the first regular taxi drone service will be in service during Bond7's tenure.

Taiga TS2, the first production electric snowmobile. it can do 0-100 km/t in three seconds, but it doesn't have the range of petrol engine snowmobiles. They're more quiet however. The Canadian military are looking for a hybrid snowmobile where they can switch from a conventional engine to electric to go quiet. That sounds Bondian to me.

These are illustrations of two planned ships from Ulstein Maritime, a local shipyard that develops and makes high-tech prototypes for ships. The ships run on zero emission thorium and the illustrations looks like it's taken from a Bond movie!
I'd like to see a passenger drone in a future Bond movie. Bond movies have a history of showing cutting edge and/or unusual transportation such as Concorde, hovergraft and hydrofoil. It looks like drone taxis and other passenger drones will be in regular traffic in just a few years. I doubt the companies making the drones will allow action scenes involving their vehicles, but a transport scene can be made interesting by showing a passenger drone.
I was looking at electric cars online and the Lotus Evija caught my eye. Lotus has a history with Bond and I can easily picture this car in a Bond movie.
Contact lenses that turns your eyesight infra- red, anyone?
I thought this was quite cool-looking and could imagine a baddie turning up in one or something
Lotus make some beautiful looking cars, but now under Chinese ownership, and strongly rumoured to be pulling out of manufacturing in the UK after 80 years, I wouldn't endorse a return to Bond, sadly.
Grateful we got classic Lotus in TSWLM and FYEO. Perfect👌
I heard on the news that they reassured the Government that they're staying at Hethel.
(from "The Petrolhead lounge" in MI6Community) This would be perfect for the next Bond car:
An alternative to the Aston Martin DB5.
The Jaguar XK120 Supersonic
I appreciate the nicely childish numberplate 😄
Who designed that?

The smart phone gun. The natural successor to Scaramanga's golden gun:
Here it is again, this time is gold! ( but writing "9mm" on it somewhat defeats the purpose)

I know a prototype of the Aston Martin Valhalla could be glimpsed in NTTD, but I think it should be used more in Bond26. This year an improved version of the Valhalla is in limited production. I don't picture the Valhalla as Bond's daily use car, because it's wrong for that. But Bond could drive it in a particular situation or another character could use the car.
