Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
I hope we get some more from this film. Fallout had so many great ones and I missed out on the Boss Lemy jacket. Don't want that to happen again!
Currently want: NTTD Massimo Alba Sloop Suit
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
If you can believe it, I saw a few of them (or a nearly identical JV jacket) at Nordstrom Rack. I had no idea what it was at the time or I would have picked a couple of them up!
However, that's not as bad as when I picked up my "enjoying death" shirt on clearance from Zara for $20. This is before they were identified and they had 8 or 10 of them in all sizes. The profit I could have turned on the resale market when the film was released...

Wow I'm still searching for a Zara shirt at a decent price. What a find!

Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
I am sorry for hi-jacking this thread. I just didn't think i should start a new one for this.
I recently watched Tom Cruise's Knight and Day again. In the title sequence he wears a beige Harrington i like.
Initially i thought this was a Baracuta G9 or G4 'Mist' but i am not so sure anymore. There is no Umbrella-effect yoke at the back and some details seems to be different.
Initially i was waiting from Daniel Love to produce a replica of DC's Harrington:
But it seems it is on hold for now so Tom Cruise's one might be a nice alternative. So, any idea who might have produced this one?
That particular jacket was a special release by Baracuta called the G-10. It is basically a G9 with a much slimmer fit, shoulder seams instead of a raglan shoulder style, and no back yoke. There was a special limited release around the time the film came out. I owned one myself, but have since sold it as it wasn't really my style back then. I'm kicking myself now.

Οh, i can imagine the feeling.
It seems like Baracuta has since given the G10 name to a longer raincoat-like G9.

I wonder, Have the car doors been removes to help filming, or is it an Homage to QOS

When you have your star doing most of the stunts himself, you want to show as much of him as possible!
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
If I'm not mistaken the G9s were without the raglan and umbrella back for a short (?) period too.
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
Good to see BMW have got the gig again. They fit nicely with these films and always look great on-screen.
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
Although it looks like he gets to have a bit of retro car fun again in this one in an old Fiat 500!
I'm not quite sure who's driving though as he seems to switch sides in different photos.
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
And next to Agent Carter no less! Such a great series that one.
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
Yes, definitely Hayley Atwell. She's a looker. I'd love for her to be a Bond Woman at some point.

Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
Between Bond and Hunt, it's safe to say the gray suit is coming back! But did it ever leave? I remember maroon\burgundy suits being "in" a few years ago (2016-2018ish) so maybe Summer 2021 trends include gray wool suits and tan cord suits?!
Hopefully things are closer to normal by then!

I think it was probably just a couple celebrities wearing a burgundy suit once to an event and then magazines/sites like GQ jumping on it and saying that “BURGUNDY SUITS ARE TOTALLY IN EVERYWHERE RIGHT NOW!!!”.
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
Some nice behind-the-scenes footage from Rome showing the grey suit outfit in all its glory.
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
How many vehicles is he going to drive in this chase?!
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
I wonder if he will wear a bowtie with this tux when he finishes rehearsal and removes the mask.
Re: Mission:Impossible 7-thread (shooting, wardrobe, etc.)
I certainly hope they've put lots of extra grip on his shoe soles! My dress shoes would slide me straight into the drink.
