  • Couple quick questions. Is it true that when people get their hands on any of the recent tom ford suits that are screen used by daniel craig, they are usually some shape or form of a modified 48R? I've read that in a few articles. Due to covid and location, I'm not able to try on any TF suits right now. I don't believe that I have his exact physique but I'm 5'11 and 170 lbs with a tiny waist, so I'm probably not too far off from whatever that size happens to be. I just want a good fitting suit, I couldn't care less about screen accuracy in this case.

Question 2.) What tie is used with the "black"/charcoal/and blue POW suit in NTTD that's paired with the sky blue dress shirt?

    Thanks!

We've got about the same attributes. 38R works perfectly for me. I have broader shoulders too so, unless you have exceptionally broad shoulders, it's probably safe. That's what matters most fit-wise.

But if your waist is more than 33" I'd have some pause. TF pants don't let out waist size nicely, imo. Meaning, if you have to let the pants out as far as they can go they don't look quite right. Some designers are worse than others in this regard.

For the most part, yes, that’s true. 48 or 50 depending if he’s wearing padding underneath. Sometimes 52.

Do the NTTD O’Connors have the same amount of shoulder padding as the regular O’Connor?

Just saw this image of Ryan Reynolds' new movie, The Adam Project—looks like the RGT supply jacket is getting another staring role.

Finally heard back from Palladium about the garage boot question:

“We confirm the model worn by Daniel Craig in the latest James Bond movie is not a Palladium model.
We unfortunately don't have further pieces of information on the model we see in the movie.”

    The hunt continues...

I was surprised too. They were back and forth checking, I wonder if they got hold of EON or something to be that definitive

Strange how it looks a different colour on screen. I contacted RGT and they confirmed it was the lined version.

Too bad but I love mine. They are very comfortable and will be put to good use.

Now the hunt continues...who makes those boots?

The only other brand I've seen making this style of boot is Craghoppers:
    https://www.craghoppers.com/mono-mid-boot-mid-khaki/

But I can't find the correct colour. I'm sure it must be another brand, I'm looking forward to the hunt :D.

If not Palladium (which is hard to believe) then my other thought is, and I can't find a brown pair yet, that these could be a contender. The tab doesn't look right though IMO.

Officine Creative Pallet Boot 1 is the name; Farfetch doesn't call it that, but on Ssense they do.

There is a version with the yellow vibram lettering on the sole and this one without.

In light of that revelation regarding the boot not being "the one" I think it is appropriate to add, "The game is afoot" or in this case "aboot" :D

I think it might be worth reconsidering whether that's really a tab/loop in the photo or just the jean cuff poking out oddly.

I don't see any difference with the Palladium!
IMO, the price is not justified

Apart from the obvious product placement (Omega, Heineken) doesn't it seem to be the Vuarnet 1613 the sunglasses on the left? In the images we've seen so far Bond always sports the Vuarnet Legend...

The Massimo Alba baby cord trousers, worn with the Massimo Rain coat, Rag & Bone Henley and Crocket and Jones Moltons, have arrived at MA and they will be gradually making their way through the list for payment for those who signed up (mine arrived today).

I received an email from Alessandro today about the MAUKO trousers. Apparently the price has risen from 280 euros to 360 euros. Pretty disappointing tbh.

That's a substantial cost increase! I'm wondering if Alessandro gave a reason for the change?

I ordered mine today. The price hike is unfortunate, but I can't fault a business for wanting to capitalize on the Bond association. And these were specially made from what I understand.

Cederic is the material as light as the Winches? Are they fixed length or do you need to hem them?

I’m guessing that’s part of the impact of Tom Fords legal team going heavy-handed with them re: not being able to advertise ‘Bond’ association.

If you can advertise the Bond connection, you can probably keep the cost down as you will achieve volume of sales to more than cover cost to produce / margin etc.

If you can’t advertise the link, you’d have to set the price higher to cover costs and make your required margin, based on a lower volume of sales.

On the plus side, if you buy them you can be sure they will be a limited supply as I don’t envisage MA would keep them in their catalogue for too long at that price.

(I bought the Nero Lavato suit for €500 so have no skin in this game at all. Just my thoughts)
    Yes. Considerably.
