According to this article http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00027313.html, the band Muse has offered up its interest to perform the theme song for Bond 23. They talk about the release of their new video for "Uprising" and suggest its similarity in thematic quality to Bondesque sounds. (It also has riffs similar to Dr. Who.)

I personally like and, and wouldn't be upset if Eon discovered value in what this band had to offer.

    Yes, I heard that as well, it was discussed by the BBC here

    I like the last couple of tracks by muse, especially their current single 'Uprising' -{

    Sorry, I just can't 'see' Muse doing anything with a Bond theme - I have to admit that I find them very boring. I'd much prefer to have the Editors try something.

    I don't know. The lead singer has a good voice and the guitar is good, but are they too electronical and "tecno"?

    I'd rather not have Muse do the theme. It's just my personal taste, but I can't really stand them, especially the droning lead singer.

    I'm still hoping to see Gavin Rossdale of Bush do the theme. He's who I wanted for QoS, and it keeps with the rocker of a the 90s feel they had with Cornell.

    [adopts patented Monty Python 'Pepperpot' old lady voice] Oh, I'm not sure I'd like that, not at all...

    I'm not familiar with "Muse" so I have no opinion either way re their suitability to do a Bond theme. It seems that every week some band or actress, etc puts their name out there trying to connect themselves to the next Bond film for publicity purposes. There will be plenty more between now and 2011. I'll throw my two cents in by suggesting Irish singer Imelda May. Good set of pipes and she writes some real good lyrics. She's a bit like Amy Winehouse, but unlike Amy, Imelda is healthy, sane and sober.

    I'd be fine with that.
