I know the Bonds are Huge Movies so I'm sure the producers don't want to take
any chances with them, But I was wondering if Eon ever look to young up coming
directors. Mabey not just out of film school but still not very experienced ?

With Daniel Craig returning to play anti-Bond in another John Logan script about deconstruction, it doesn't matter who directs.

However, if a pro-Bond approach with a pro-Bond actor were to be engaged, I would like to see Brad Bird write and direct. He would tell a straightforward story. He wouldn't need any help from the Broccolis'. He has no feminist agenda or value judgements to espouse. His Mission Impossible 4 Ghost Protocol had action and suspense that shamed the last four Bond films.

So now Craig is not a "pro-Bond" actor? When did that happen? And what is this "feminist agenda" you speak of? I've seen every Bond film numerous times and I never noticed it. Must be me.

It's just more nonsense from an anti-Craig mediocrity. Ignore it.

Nolan is busy with Interstellar, so I think Matthew Vaughn should get the next one since he got the best out of DC in Layercake, whereas Nolan may want to work with a new Bond.

Vaughn is supposed to start filming "The Secret Service" at the end of this year.

I've always though Steven Soderburgh could make a good Bond director. He was keen to do "The Man From Uncle" last year until it fell through. Of course, he's not British, but neither was Marc Foster. Er, wait a minute.
Vaughn is currently unpopular within the UK film industry due to his support for the closure of the UK Film Council.

    Good advice.

And that's where you can safely confirm it as a load of nonsense. Bamigboye has put his foot in it countless times and the whole world knows the Mail is a nasty, intolerant rag.

Not sure I'd agree with that. Vaughn was by no means alone - especially among commercial filmmakers - in that opinion.

I share your dislike of the Mail, generally, but Baz is real journalist - with a genuine enthusiasm for the UK film industry and affection for the Bond films - who doesn't mess around with tittle-tattle. He had a number of scoops on SF which turned out to be true. If he's reporting that Nolan is in talks with Eon, I believe him.
