    Any more pics, hthomas? Hard to tell in the lighting if the hat is brown, gray, or dark olive. Anyone care to make a guess as to the leather jacket?

    He doesn't...this pic was posted by Lexi in the SPECTRE forum -{

    The hat looks very olive on my screen. I'd love to see Bond in a trilby again, though it probably won't happen. Craig looks pretty good in that hat, though it doesn't go well with such a casual jacket.

    It does have a bit of a Connery aura (from the neck up). I like the hat, not a fan of the jacket. Wouldn't mind getting a good trilby, but not in olive.

    So the picture is from 2009, taken outside the Borsalino Hat shop. (Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Sir Miles.)

    I thought I saw this picture before, or atleast that outfit.

    My Spectre possible alternative arrived yesterday!! Great fit and for £100 a fair price for a close enough example to what DC seems to be wearing in the plane scenes photographed recently.
    It's a great jacket with a nice fit , nice quality and lovely material. Difficult to obtain but worth it based on the price of the Moncler. I do like the outfit on show in the plane scenes so all being well I think I've got a fair jacket to add to this outfit.

    Hope you like , I do!!

    Where did you get that from? Looks very good :-)

    Thanks to my Canadian friend I received my SN Cloud 340s ! Fab jacket for the money, I would guess as an upcoming brand they are pricing themselves conservatively !

    Wasnt sure on sizing or fit. So as a result I have a Kaviar (black) XL spare if anyone in the UK fancies a Moncler beater, offers at £100 (just what I paid) will be accepted ... I would suggest a uk 44 or 46 depending how fitted you want it...

    What is the filling on the jacket - can you tell? I'm in the market for a form fitting insulated jacket, but would prefer down to man-made.

    Outer is Merino, section front is Nylon and the fill is a 50/50 Wool / Polyester mix

    Very nice quality and perfect as a mid layer or as a jacket in its own right. Got both a blue and the Kaviar in Large. Fits absolutely perfect as I'm a 41 chest

    Would say XL perfect for 44/46

    The gun is a HK VP9, the googles are not from Moncler but the jacket is - the sleeves seem to match.

    Those are old Vuarnet glacier glasses. These don't have the leather on the center but it could be missing as most of these are close to thirty years old. Maybe they're reissuing them but they aren't on Vuarnet's site yet.

    That will be the Omega 'Bond' NATO nylon strap. About US$150, I believe!!

    Or, as a more affordable option and excellent quality...

    Looked a little more. Looks like it's a Vuarnet 027(also most likely worn by McCready in The Thing). Can't find any with the leather covered bridge but the aviator style Vuarnet 430 had it and it's easy enough just unsnap from one and snap onto the other. Maybe they liked the shape of the 027 but wanted the leather, maybe wherever they sourced it already had it that way.

    The knit pattern looks correct
    Leather trim on pocket show here like the Harrods

    Guys I must admit , this is looking identical to the Moncler feature to be for sale at Harrods , nice commitment from those whole plunged their money into the jacket hoping it'd pay off as it seems almost certain to be the Moncler. I'm still delighted with my £100 alternative and would highly recommend people look at the super.natural combustion jacket as alternative. With the Solden scenes being a pinnacle part of the film and most likely a major part in the story id personally go for the jacket or look for a close example as I think it'll have a similar impact and prominence as the X To Ki To Barbour did in Skyfall.

    Also to add to the potential of an alternative I've contacted Daniel Love about the subject and given him my views and suggestion on maybe getting one of these off the ground before the films approaches so we can see what prevails of it in the coming weeks.

    All the best for now and based on today's action I may don a certain jacket!! -{

    I actually have those exact Vuarnets, with the leather nose piece, that I bought in 1993. Guess it's time to pull them out of storage! Not much mountaineering where I live now.

    It's the Harrods Moncler jacket - I've compared it to the close-up pics I took of mine before I sent it back. The details are identical, including the shape of the zipper pulls, brown leather edging to the zipped pockets and main jacket zip, etc.
    They probably removed the Moncler badge from the left shoulder, for filming, but other than that, it looks stock.

    The zippers are not identical at all.
