    Japan has been a Country I've always wanted to visit -{

I would like to see Japan return as a Bond Location, it's changed quite a bit since 1967 :)

Arrived in Paris today with the mrs and kids!!

Mrs: "Lets jump on a red bus tour and see the sights"

Me: "No lets walk and explore"

Eight hours of walking later... (needed the exercise after this vacations food and drink).

As I lead the way I managed to sneak in a slight detour between the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower to nip into the SPECTRE base! (Mrs wondering what the hell I'm up to)

I was just in Paris a couple of weeks ago. I snapped this pic from across the street on the Champs-Élysées, on the run, because I was literally rushing to catch one of those red buses, lol. I asked the waiter at a restaurant where I just finished dinner where Fouquet's was and he pointed...and it was so close!:

"Sitting in Fouquet's, waiting for his Americano, Bond smiled at his vehemence. He knew that he was only playing at this fantasy for the satisfaction of launching a last kick at a town he had cordially disliked since the War. Since 1945, he had not had a happy day in Paris...

A battered black Peugeot 403 broke out of the centre stream of traffic, cut across the inside line of cars and pulled in to double park at the kerb. There was the usual screaming of brakes, hooting and yelling. Quite unmoved, a girl got out of the car and, leaving the traffic to sort itself out, walked purposefully across the sidewalk. Bond sat up...

Bond watched her narrowly as she reached the edge of the tables and came up the aisle...She smiled rather tautly into his startled eyes. “I'm sorry I'm late, and I'm afraid we've got to get moving at once. You're wanted at the office.” She added under her breath: “Crash dive.”

Bond jerked himself back to reality. Whoever she was, she was certainly from 'the firm'. 'Crash dive' was a slang expression the Secret Service had borrowed from the Submarine Service. It meant bad news - the worst. Bond dug into his pocket and slid some coins over the table. He said “Right. Let's go,” and got up and followed her down through the tables and across to her car."

-Ian Fleming, "From a View to a Kill" — at Le Fouquet's - Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Paris.

I love to travel, and as I have said on other threads I often choose my holiday destinations based on locations that have appeared in Bond movies. The first place being to Switzerland while on a school trip in 1982 where we actually visited Piz Gloria as part of the itinerary.

Living in London and in fact walking distance from Vauxhall Cross I see the MI6 building every day as well as other iconic London locations from the films. Nothing beats being in the heart of the greatest city in the world.
So, other places featured in Bond films that I love from around the globe in no particular order are:

    Havana, Cuba (Die Another Day)
Puerto Rico - Arecibo telescope and north western beaches (GoldenEye)
Miami (Goldfinger, Licence to Kill, Casino Royale)
New York, USA (Live and Let Die)
Thailand - Bangkok and “James Bond Island” (TMWTGG, Tomorrow Never Dies)
    Cairo, Pyramids, Egypt (TSWLM)
    Greek Islands (FYEO)
    San Francisco, USA (AVTAK)
    Gibraltar (The Living Daylights)
Nice, France (Never Say Never Again)
    Amsterdam, Netherlands (Diamonds Are Forever)
    Paris, France (AVTAK)

I have also been to Turkey, but not Istanbul so not sure if that counts as a Bondian location. My future travel plans include Vienna, Austria in October, South America at Christmas and Prague for Easter 2016. Hmmmmm, has Prague starred in a 007 film yet or was it just from Mission: Impossible 1? :s

    OP - Berlin. Checkpoint Charlie.
    LTK - Key West.

New York City - Didn't go to Harlem but did see an absolute ton of other film locations.

London - Buckingham palace, Big Ben, the Thames, the Millenium Dome when it was't just called the O2. It had rides in it and all sorts. Was only 12 at the time, and I've visited the odd other location.

Below are two photos from my trip to New York. From a very well known movie. I felt like a big kid :))

Had a fantastic vacation during the summer with the wife and 2 kids and hit a few Bond locals. I mentioned Paris earlier in this thread but the other Bond places were Venice, Rome, and Monte Carlo. Also went to Montenegro but as I was eager to visit Bond's hotel I was disappointed to learn even before leaving that not one frame was ever shot there!

We also visited Corfu which stoked me the most in terms of Bond locations, but in the flurry of research and preparations I did weeks before for all our planned destinations, I didn't have time to better research the exact locations used throughout Corfu that the FYEO production used extensively. Afterwards, I did learn where those were, including the two historical fortifications right next to old town Corfu (scene of Bond and Melina go to the market), where they had their poignant scenes overlooking the ocean and which doubled for Kristato’s Albanian portside warehouse; our time was so crunched since we only had roughly 8 hours in port that we skipped the forts altogether, which was a waste because they were just right there where we were but the heat and the prospect of marching through these structures were not desirable at the time!

We rented a car to visit a beach (Glyfada) and unfortunately I didn’t know at the time which beach Countess Lisl got mowed down by Locque’s dune buggy. Also, on the way to the beach we got pleasantly lost in the countryside and got a feel of the winding roads during the FYEO chase scene in Spain and unbeknownst to me, at a certain point we were not that far off from the area used including the small town in that scene, another pity. Had I better prepared, the places we’d purposely visited would certainly be the small town in the chase scene and the 2 forts.

It was surreal. Me and a buddy jumped into a cab, just told him the district. He said "we're here." I paid him, got out the cab and turned left and there it was. Stood with my mouth open. Walked over and had a look in the window and saw this.........

I have been to Venice. I could feel the he traded from the few locals. I have also been to Schonbrunn Palace (TLDL.) In the palace I saw marionettes preform "The Magic Flute." I can honestly say it is the best production of the singspiel I have ever seen.

I am planning an Austria and Switzerland trip this winter and want to go to the location OHMSS was filmed. Any suggestions? I read it has a half an hour gondola ride that I am particularly excited about.

I've also been to Venice, in fact I got married there. I've also been to Vienna, siena, Lake garda and como, costing, sardinia, new York, Paris, Hamburg, Rome, Miami, loads of places in Greece, Egypt, Gibraltar and of course London and Scotland. I'm sure there are others but I can't quite recall any more bond locations. Nassau is on the list of places I want to visit, I've also been to Croatia so if rumours are true I'll be able to add that.
Vesper, how did you like Venice?

Most of mine are happy coincidence. Venice was my first intentional trip based on Bond. I first went there because of CR only to return a few times and eventually get married there.
