    I know the "Casino Royale" Jack Purcell OTRs remain much-wanted, but I'd like to make a recommendation that people consider the Frye Ryan Midlace Sneakers.

    It took me a while to warm to these — I posted this same pair here for sale at one point! — but they have become one of my most-used boots. They took a long time to break in, but their lug sole makes them superior in nearly all situations to an urban sneaker. I even bought the same shoe in black!

    If, like me, you're not a diehard collector and are more interested in using Bond to inform your clothing choices and upping your style game, then I would definitely encourage you to give these "sneakers" a try.

    Now if Frye would only give me a commission.

    Great to hear you like them! I keep hearing good things about them. And don't feel bad. I've had them listed on the site for almost a year now and Frye doesn't pay me a commission either ... :(

    6pm.com seems to have Frye shoes at the lowest price for most sizes. Better than Amazon!
    Yes. Consssssiderably.

    My replica Matchless replica varvatos jacket arrived today, I'm very impressed, colour looks good, stitching is great quality with no loose threads, high quality zip. The suede is very soft and supple, slight downsides ( though they don't bother me) no metal hook on collar, pockets are slightly different in style and a touch to forward compared to the Matchless, last thing is the dark viscose lining, I'd have preferred a paler colour but hey ho you can't have everything for a quarter of the originals price. The jacket came very quickly and was packaged really well. All in all I'm very happy, I think this jacket will get more wear than the blue suede jacket, it also feels like it will last for years.

    Jacket looks perfect , nice slim fit which is quite unusual from Wested. Would you mind sharing your stats , the size you ordered and also which color did you ask for ( beige or tan ) ?

    I have a 44" chest, 35" waist, 17" bicep and I'm 6' 3" and I ordered the size 44.
    As they don't show you the two different colours on the site I asked for the palest colour they did. Hope this helps.

    Chriscoop: There's the article we've been discussing! I'd love to read a review of it!

    New post! Alternatives for the QoS navy wool overcoat:

    I have both the JP OTR and the frye.
    The latter is better quality and much more comfortable.
    Good choice -{

    Thank you for the quick answer. Good to know that the Wested replica is true to size while nailing a trim cut. I assume their site shows the tan jacket and you went for the beige.

    Weird. I"m not showing any problems from the link I shared here or on other sites. I think I'm checking everything. Could you tell me what it says when you click on it?

    Thanks for letting me know!!

    Thanks! I need to figure out what's causing that. It only seems to be happening with links I post here.

    ^ it is odd as the first time around the link was ok for me - although others couldn't access it...but today I'm seeing the same as the others...and your 'experiment' above doesn't work either...

    Thanks for watching my back, guys! And thanks for that screen shot _Stocks; it helped a lot!

    It was an error on the hosting service side. They had updated my server with one of their "proprietary caching services" that is supposed to save my posts in a redundant secondary backup. But they never told me about this new "special feature", which has been causing intermittent problems with URL/PHP relations. You kind of know something is up when you share the screen shot with the CSR and the first words out of his mouth are, "OH, that AGAIN!" They've disabled it now.

    TL;DR: all fixed; here is the link again and it should be working fine now

    angelicbond pm'd me on Instagram last night and I think he's found a great alternative for the QoS Bolivia arrival tie:

    71Hes-Qge9L._AC_UL200_SR160,200_.jpg

    It's $18 at amazon.com

    https://www.amazon.com/Vincenzo-Boretti-Mens-Silk-Tie/dp/B01GABPKW0

    And £15.40 at amazon UK

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B014RF4OAA/

    A couple of the other colors look like they could work for some of Craig's other looks as well!

    By the way, if you haven't checked out angelicbond on IG, he's feed is really good!

    @mubudgetbond

    I'll have a new article coming later today!

    Looking forward to hearing about it!

    By the way, angelicbond's Instagram account is @mybudgetbond. I spelt it incorrectly before. Sorry!

    New updates! I know some of you guys are braving the cold weather, so ...

    Moncler Cezanne. I basically had to rewrite this post from scratch since most of the alternatives were gone:

    http://www.iconicalternatives.com/2016/01/07/moncler-cezanne-jacket/

    Dior Mr. White jacket. Again, basically had to do a complete re-write

    http://www.iconicalternatives.com/2015/12/03/dior-homme-mr-white-jacket-spectre/

    And CR PTS Cardigan. Not much new in this one. Just more of a clean up with a couple of new options. But that 100% cashmere alternative from Saks 5th Ave is now down to about $70. So it's a great deal.

    http://www.iconicalternatives.com/2015/12/17/casino-royale-pts-black-cardigan/

    Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend, gentlemen! {[]

    Cheers for that Dragon Tattoo article, I'm always on the lookout for alternatives to the Moncler! Found one from Gap a few years back, but that Guess jacket is darn close -{

    I have the same problem with that Macy's site. You need to go to the U.S. version of the site (select the U.S. as your shipping destination). Then you can see the availability. If you're visiting the site from outside the U.S., Macy's will show it as unavailable.

    Hope that helps!
