  We have over 50 collected so far ourselves, wanting to organise them into cars in each movie

  1 Thing that freaks us out is the cost of these and then postage to Australia.

  
  
  Whereabouts in Australia are you? You should not need to look for them overseas, as the partwork series was released in Australia, and at any model swapmeet or similar you should be able to pick plenty at prices lower than when they were released, though usually without the magazines, but the magazines weren't that great anyway. There is a big model/toy show coming up at Adelaide Showgrounds soon (May or June), and they always have plenty.

  Yeah sure 8 hours by road, 45 minutes by air. but good excuse to head to big smoke again.
  
  When we first started collecting about 2 years ago it was cheaper by a long way to get them from UK than buy in Aus.

  When we first started collecting 18 months ago the average price I was buying for from ebay was around $au 4.oo now its around 9 - 11 $au how much of that is currency changes and how much is sellers wanting to get more for their buck?

  None. Weirdly, some dioramas were retooled but you'd only learn this if you were trying to swap parts between them.
  
  The styrene tops are EXTREMELY fragile so if not collecting in person, insist on plenty of padding and sturdy shipping boxes.
