His cause of death is being investigated as a possible suicide.

Re: Bond Alumni: Tributes and Updates

Very sad. I always thought his theme for CR set a great tone for the film.

Re: Bond Alumni: Tributes and Updates

Need to pay my respects to CC. Even though I was never much of a grunge fan. I did see his band a couple of times, once at lollapalooza '92 where they were the highlight of the festival. The other in '89 which was a very small intimate club before they went mega. All I have to say is he was a nice guy. The theme for CR flows perfectly with the title sequence. Very sad that he killed himself. But he left a good legacy. RIP.

Re: Bond Alumni: Tributes and Updates

Poor old Roger Moore has just passed away in Switzerland after a short battle with cancer. He was my first Bond and will always be my favourite. So sad that he's gone.

Re: Bond Alumni: Tributes and Updates

RIP Sir Roger Moore, for those that can remember the tough industrial climate of the 1970's, he brought joy and escapism, for a lot of people myself included.  So sad, "may perpetual light shine upon him".

Re: Bond Alumni: Tributes and Updates

I have just read that Sadanoyama, whose real name was Shinmatsu Ichikawa passed away recently aged 79. He played Bond's sumo contact in YOLT.

Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

This was shared in the similar thread in the off-topic area, which I think is demeaning to put Bond people in there. They deserve to be in one of the main areas of this site!

Please rest in peace to Sir Roger and Chris.

Bernie Casey (Felix Leiter in NSNA) died on Tuesday. He was 78. I thought he had agreat chemistry with Sean Connery and i liked his introduction scene. RIP.

Sad to hear this; I thought he was an excellent Felix Leiter. Rest in peace.

I'm also sad to hear about Bernie Casey's death. He was one of the few good things about Never Say Never Again.
