Those who want Craig back will see Logan Lucky as a recharging of his batteries, and a perfect palate cleanser for Bond 25.

Those who don't want Craig back will see it as proof he's walked away.

That looks bloody awful...another flop...DC is going to need another hit soon B-)

The one which I had marked up for a flop was the one with Halle! :D

It supposedly generated some serious buzz at the Cannes Film Festival. Will be interesting to see the first trailer.

Not sure that 'Logan Lucky' is really my type of film, but I am curious to see what it is about this film that brought Soderbergh out of retirement. And it will be great to see Craig doing something completely different to his other roles.

DC has not had a major hit other than Bond has he? Personally rather enjoyed Defiance and Girl with Dragon Tattoo although thought Swedish version was far better!

When I first watched this trailer and saw Craig it reminded me of when Pierce did The Matador. A film where he just says "f*ck you" to his established Bond persona and lets loose.

Raising Arizona fused with The Fast and the Furious? Looks like it might be fun.

I think it's too early to judge. I've seen great trailers for bad movies and (more rarely) bad trailers for good movies.

Seconded. Craig has a veeeery different voice in the trailer. Maybe the joking around they did on Daniel being dubbed in SPECTRE was actually true. Either that or he's improved upon his Tomb Raider accent.
    a reasonable rate of return

Many actors juggle from one film project to another. Its not over till its 'officially' over.
Ok - Mr Craig may be in this... this, - this.
But I am NOT watching that! :s
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

"Logan Lucky" doesn't look like my cup of tea, but there is a reason its director, Academy-award winner Stephen Soderbergh, is one of the highest-paid in the world. His films have earned billions. I wouldn't write this off as a box office bomb for Daniel Craig before the fact.

I don't see it as either. It does actually look good and quite a departure for Daniel Craig who may just steal the picture. The "Introducing Daniel Craig" credit was interesting however if you want to read anything into that. In all honesty, I'm just really tired of the radio silence regarding anything official on Bond 25. As much as I'd like to see Craig come back for another, at this point I'd be more than fine with an official announcement that Tom Hiddleston is taking over.

I think the "Introducing" thing is a fantastic humourous touch - as if nobody's seen Craigger before :)) This film looks like quite a lot of fun to me!

Stephen Soderbergh is a talented guy and knows his way around a comic heist film and can get a lot out of a good ensemble cast. Craig, by his own admission isn't an accent guy, but an American Southern drawl is generally easier to pull off by someone with a natural British accent than other American dialects. Logan Lucky is being released mid August which is basically after all the big summer blockbusters have been released so the public is usually ready for something different than the usual superhero cartoonish action fests by that time. It's kind of a dead time at the movies so if Logan Lucky is any good, it could do very well. The film with Halle Berry doesn't have the look of a big hit but you never know.

Cant imagine we'll be scrambling to get his wardrobe in Logan Lucky.

I was actually impressed with Daniel Craig from what I've seen in the trailer. I didn't think he could play a character with any personality, but I was wrong!

I'll be going to see it, in fact I have quite a list for this year, Ryan Reynolds new one with Samuel Jackson, and also American assassin, wild river and of course blade runner. Craig looks to be having fun and I enjoyed the oceans films, he also can do humorous well IMHO.

I had a dream last night where DC signed up for his final bond film, "Eternal Calm". The trailer came out, with the tagline "there is still one person left to kill", as DC hunts down Blofeld. The trailer also featured a chimpanzee, and Gibbs from pirates of the caribbean with gold teeth.

This is what all this endless waiting has done to me...

Possibly, but "allegedly" bets were placed accross several bookies.
Also apparently the Spectre Facebook page has recently had its name changed to James bond 007 movies! Some suggest this is because an announcement is imminent??

I doubt the Facebook page name change has much to do with anything. I think someone just realised that it has been a year and a half since Spectre was released and that it should have a more generic name now.

People are always looking for what they want to see. If they were about to announce the new film and prepare this page to be for the new film, wouldn't they have just waited for that? I would think that the name change means that there's no new film to be announced for a while.

Yet another (perhaps the same one) article purporting that Craig will return:

If EON want Bond 25 out winter 2018 then the casting has to be agreed by autumn so they might have put pressure on Craig to give a final answer: "yes" or "no." Perhaps he's finally agreed to return!

    Daniel Craig:

"I was gonna cut my wrists cos I can't stand the thought of doing another Bond film, but Babs offered me 30 million dollars. How could I refuse?" :p

My firm belief has always been DC will do B25 and his 5th. Blofeld left alive / story left open blah blah
Could you walk away at that point, oh and flipping great wadges of cash too
