Can't believe they wasted the Radiohead theme. Bring back Radiohead.

Re: Bond 25 Theme: Artist

Lana del Rey, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Florence and the Machine all seem like good choises

54

Re: Bond 25 Theme: Artist

Lana Del Rey has already made a good half dozen tracks that would be great Bond themes.

Sadly her "24" track wasn't up to the task, I like the song but it's one of the weaker tracks on her album.

Still I hope she'll do it one day, especially if something like a period piece would ever be made, she would be perfect.

Re: Bond 25 Theme: Artist

Wasn't there a rumor that Noel Gallagher was wanting to do a Bond theme? Personally id love that. Huge Oasis fan. Also their song 'I'm Outta Time' sounds kinda Bondish to me. Especially the opening where Liam is going lalalala is reminiscent of the Bond Theme. It might've worked for QOS.

She probably could, but I hope she doesn't. I have a recurrent fear of the strangled caterwaul of TND and fear it could be similar. I recall a review describing Florence as sounding 'like a Banshee having a band aid pulled off'  I'm hoping for Lorde.

Lorde would be fine as well, but as I quite enjoyed TND, I'm also fine with Florence  ajb007/wink

May I suggest you listen to her last album - How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful...and decide for yourself  ajb007/martini

Really agree re Goldfrap the first album has some lovely homage to the great John Barry (lush strings and Brass). As a sidebar I knew Alison a bit 'back in the day' (very quiet, very shy)  and she went out with my Brother for a while. I have tried, honestly I have, but try as I might something about Florence Welch's voice just grates on me. Just a personal view.

Alison went out with your brother? She's certainly changed since then  ajb007/lol

Amazing voice and vocal range...a bit like Florence, except I find Florence's vocals 'stronger'  ajb007/martini

I didn't remember Golmember,  but I believe Beyonce is capable of a great Bond song that doesn't sound like it.
