Thanks Chris! It's different from the original, but carries the same vibe and is from a gr at Bond brand. I love your Hati outfit; that's one of my all time favorites to wear. {[] that new jacket looks damn good! What is that? I missed this one. That's one of the best alternatives I've seen in a long time.

I thinks it’s the one from amazon Chris mentions aboveboard in post 2329.

Chris, what’s the size so like, looks like a great alternative. T

It is the one I mentioned earlier, I'm really impressed with it, it's well put together, is shower resistant which was tested yesterday and works, I stayed dry and relatively cool during our weird weather day yesterday, its very very light. I may swap out the huge silver zip pull for a black one though. Sizing on these is crazy big, I got a medium and I'm a 44" chest, size down and down again is my advice. If medium is 42/44" chest I'd put the size small at 38/40". I wouldn't like to meet the guy who wears the 5XL!! The material is synthetic but it does have a bit of a sheen like the original. I've moved the buttons on the side adjusters to tighten up the waist a bit but other than that I'm very pleased, and to be honest I'd still be pleased at twice the price. If you want some more pictures let me know.

Naturally, would not want my weapon to go off half cocked :D
The tie is actually a slim Tom Ford one I bought earlier this year from online sales one of a set of 3 all close matches to SF ties (£75 each). I thought it was a close match to the SF PTS tie. When I compare it to my Magnoli it's black with grey where as the Magnoli is more grey with black but it's close enough for my homage look.

Saw a fairly good Solden Jacket alternative at Zara today. This version replaces the charcoal wool knit with a Navy jersey material with warm fleecy lining. Pretty comfortable. Good fit too. Not bad for AUD$70.

Friendly reminder: The Hitman's Bodyguard is releasing in the USA in a little over 2 weeks, and I get the feeling that it'll be this year's Man from UNCLE: a stylish non-Bond action film with some good looks.

One thing that definitely stands out are Ryan Reynolds's knit ties.

I have posted links to pointed knit ties for only $3 with free shipping. But for those picky about the origin countries of their clothes, these are made in China. But you can't go wrong for $3!

The only difference is the ones in the movie seem to be super super slim. These are pretty normal width.

    A10, A11, and A12, in that order.

How about these as an inexpensive alternative to the suede derbies Connery wears in Goldfinger?

    http://www.hm.com/us/product/72863?article=72863-A

You'd need to dye the soles.

I've been searching high and low for a decent match to the brown barleycorn hacking jacket. I expect fall might provide some alternatives, but if you see something, let me know!

I just purchased this on a trip to the uk and love it. It's nice and light yet everyone thinks it's suede.
Here's that Zara microfiber jacket I mentioned upthread that's a decent alt for the Varvatos suede racer.

    Hello all!
My apologies for being away for the last little while.

After I returned from my vacation in June, I got down to work on updates to the site and some changes I've been meaning to make. Sadly, my mom passed away in July. It was very sudden and unexpected. But things are slowly returning to normal.

I just wanted you folks to know that I haven't forgotten IA or abandoned the site. I just needed to put things on hold for a while, while my family and I dealt with our loss.

I'll be back at it next week, so you can expect lots of updates and new content coming soon!

    All the best, everyone!
    John

I'm very sad to hear of your loss John, my sincere sympathies to you and your family.
I was thinking about you just last week wondering where you'd gone. AJB is a poorer place without you about.
    kind regards
    Chris.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

I've been meaning to post to recomend a budget shirt I bought recently, Janeo are available on eBay and Amazon
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122196497894
I've just bought a plain white shirt to take on holiday, for only £12.95 plus postage I was very impressed with the quality, it even came with its own branded travel bag. The fit was good and build quality above average. Obviously dont expect t and a quality but at this price point you can't go wrong. They do a full range of shirts and it arrived 3 days after ordering.

Sir M, I could have done with a sou'wester myself yesterday afternoon, the heavens opened. Today looks brighter and warmer thankfully. Could be a thunderball pink shirt and blue shorts day.
