I'm sure it's all about 'Logan Lucky' but let's face it, Colbert's show is live - if he's not asked it means they told Steven not to ask him about it.

It should be interesting. Nothing would surprise me but one would think Colbert, even if instructed not to ask about Bond might make some sort of joke about not talking about Bond and try to get him to talk about it in some round about fashion. If Craig is coming back, he could always say something like....we're working on it or look for something official in the fall. Who knows. One thing is for certain, Logan Lucky has been getting very positive reviews and lots of kudos for Craig's performance. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see it this weekend.

It's not live, it's "live on tape", which is a fancy way of say it's pre-recorded.

Daniel Craig Interview With Morning MAGIC today (August 15th)
    http://magic1067.com/episodes/mmp-daniel-craig-interview-morning-magic/

The complete quote on Bond is something like this: "I haven't, I'd hate to [inaudible], no decision has been made at the moment, there's a lot of noise out there and nothing official has been confirmed and I'm not holding out for more money or doing anything like that. It's just all very personal decisions to be made at the moment. I'm not. I know they're desperate to get going and I would in theory love to do it, but there is no decision just yet."

Thanks for sharing. It looks like we still won't hear anything from him on Colbert either, unless he made some deal to break the news there. I'm glad to hear him in great spirits.

that is incredible. Anonymous posters on internet forums are now legitimate journalistic sources?
is this Express a legitimate newspaper where citizens expect to find out what's going on in the world?

actually I just clicked onto their main page and it looks like a lot of populist xenophobic rabblerousing. So it is good to know they're using anonymous online forums as their sources.

:o this might just stop any member with any kind of information sharing it. So as we stand, Dc has said no decision has been made and Asp9mm is a legitimate source. Anyone else feel like we are being watched by dark forces?

I just read The Express for the first time in my life. At first glance they look OK, even though they use Asp9mm as a source :v. Then I saw the "UFO photos" they want us to "watch in awe" :))

The stuff in the Express sounds like a bunch of typical made up tab crap. They are playing off the success and publicity of Dunkirk with Nolan and Hardy. I just read that Taboo has been renewed for another season that will be filmed in 2018 for airing in 2019 and would completely fly in the face of a Bond 25 release date of November 2019 which is the only official word from EON that we have regarding Bond 25. When you add in the story (which appears credible) that filming on Purity has been pushed back to allow Craig to do Bond 25 it just doesn't add up. Craig is promoting Logan Lucky, he isn't going to say anything to divert attention from that film. He is being professional.

This is also my realistic take on it tbh, as soon as dc utters the words, yes I'm doing bond 25, EVERY single entertainment article will run with it and Lucky Logan will fall off the radar promo wise. In that radio interview dc goes to length on how much he likes and respects soderbergh so torpedoing him and the movie is a definite no no.

    I'm depressed.
I recently watched All The President's Men. The concept of a legitimate journalistic source is important to that film. The term has a legal meaning, specific standards to be met, that protects the newspaper from libel charges.
Woodward & Bernstein's sources were whistleblowers who had worked within the Committee to Reelect the President, and they required multiple such independent whistleblowers to corroborate before publishing. They were not anonymous posters on an online forum.
But that was 45 years ago, wasn't it. The world has evolved and so has the concept of truth.

Yeah that makes sense, could just as easily go "I'm just focusing on this film right now" throughout the press tour.

Well I had an interesting conversation today with someone close to eon, apparently Tom Hardy was all lined up to do Bond, he'd even been measured up by Tom Ford for the films suiting. But because of an argument over who took the last roast potatoe during a cast and crew meal after filming layer cake had finished ( which Daniel Craig has never forgiven hardy for) Dc has decided to come back. He took some persuading because of the involvement of purvis and wade again allegedly saying " not those two clowns again!! They've f+cked up all of my movies except quantum of Solace and that's only because they were on strike! " Barbara Broccoli said Craig's final decision could be made after he'd read the script and if he was happy with it. If he decides not to go ahead Tom Hiddleston will be named as the new 007.

Could you imagine what a Daniel Craig Google search would show if he did say he was coming back? I'd bet the first page would be Bond 25 with not a mention of lucky Logan.

There's no mole since this site is available for all the public to see. Perhaps they will pick up your story, since anyone can say anything and the tabloids will print it.

i should just add that my EON contact told me that to get Craig back, the script will include Bond slitting his wrists, just in case Craig was serious about his comment. :p

TBH, had he announced his return, I'd probably be more interested in actually going to see LOGAN LUCKY in the cinema. I'd have that excitement that his Bond was a done deal and I'd be raring to go see his newest film, with the added excitement his next Bond is soon on it's way. Now I'm kind of like, meh.

:)) With a glass? I thought you were going to say they'd promised he could wear some Tom Ford suits that actually fit correctly. :007)

Logan Lucky has been getting very favorable reviews so far, especially Craig's performance. Soderbergh apparently opted to bypass the major studios and gone with a small indie (Bleecker Street) for distribution. No red carpet premiere, etc. So Craig's interviews and chat show appearances (along with other cast members) are really going to be essential to the film's success. It's the kind of film that can become a big late summer hit because it's different than the usual summer fare and actually very good or it could get lost in the sauce and tank despite great reviews. In the words of M, I don't think Craig wants to "c_ _k it up" by getting into a Bond discussion but at the same time doesn't want to come off as slagging Bond if he is indeed returning especially in light of the "rather slash my wrists" comment. It's going to be a bit of a slippery slope for him. At least he's not being cranky about it.

I'm very keen to see Logan Lucky. Soderburgh knows how to make a caper picture.

    https://bondonthebox.wordpress.com/2017/08/16/daniel-craig-confirms-he-is-still-undecided-on-bond-25/

To sum up his lengthy answer:

"No decision has been made at the moment. I think they’re keen to get going. I would be, you know, incredibly fortunate and very lucky to be able to do another one, but no descision has been made."
