Nato Strap

Just got a nato strap. Like it way more than I thought I would. I'm curious though on how to wear it. Does Bond/Craig feed the excess strap back through both keepers or does he go over the first one and through the second?

    How you wear it will depend on how long it is and how big your wrist is.

    I double back through both keepers, if you have enough strap to do so.

    Outside always have it's a military thing given the length and thinness of the issue NATO's :D
    Don't have the patience or fingers to try and tuck it inside

    Was curious myself and took a look unfortunately result was inconclusive - unless anyone with blue ray can get a decent shot.

    Pretty sure it's outside, he certainly wears it this way on his personal watches and outside is how any navy man would wear it I think
    Just think how easily he undid his watch in the dentist chair

    Yeah I checked out the dentists chair but they cheat one shot showing him trying to undo it and then the next time it's already undone.

    I agree most military would fold outside by natural exposure to the issue straps.

    I would take you up on that but my watches are 18mm, 19mm, and 20mm. In any event, much appreciated! -{

    He must have small wrists or an extra long strap like the military ones to be able to do the one pull unfastening trick. My Omega NATO only gives me a little tuck

    It's hard to tell here but it looks outside to my eye

    That's not an omega NATO strap. Weird you think D.C. would be able to get a leather one for free.

    I like the look of the end being to the inside. Just looks much cleaner to me.

    So...it's on the outside but it's not fully tucked in?

    That's the only way I can get mine to look close to his. Still not quite there. Need an extra inch or so of strap. Perplexing because I have small wrists.

    To summarize, because it got a little muddy - Asp, who is pretty much the authority on what's going down in the screen-used word, says Bond's (not Craig's) Nato strap is tucked inside, as opposed to outside (which some say is SOP for military and how Craig wears it off screen). Correct?

    (Sorry, got a new strap and am being obsessive)

    Really? not according to my Sgt Major in the army.. our G10's always had to be tucked inside. The end could fray, and could result in those dreaded 'vicars ****' which resulted in numerous pres-ups on a good day :# Always tuck it inside, and they would never be seen!
  • CommandantCommandant Posts: 1,368MI6 Agent
    Well it is so much easier and faster to tuck outside.
    I have been collecting watches for over 30 years and I have never seen a fellow collector wearing a NATO band tucked on the intside.
    But if you say so -{
