The funny thing about History Number24 is that we
Seem to learn little from it and keep repeating the
    Same mistakes. :#
How did you find OHMSS the second time around Joshua ?

I was trying to find this thread last night and couldn't - must've been tired.

Anyway, UK forum members should keep an eye on Talking Pictures TV, as they have the 1957 movie Time Lock on their schedule - it played last night at midnight, but I'm sure it will be back on soon. Although I need to see it for other research reasons, the film contains a battle of the quiffs between Canadian b-picture star Lee Patterson and a young Sean Connery, who plays a welder.

The film doesn't appear to have had an official DVD release, in the UK at least, so this is a rare chance to see Big Tam in one of hs earliest film roles. Talking Pictures tend to show movies a few times, so I'm sure it'll be on again - in fact I'll drop them a Twitter message and ask if it's coming up again.

EDIT: Talking Pictures replied, saying they don't have a date for the next screening, but it's definitely coming on again.

Tonight there is ohmss on the television. I will be watching this. It is only the second time of watching this film for me. I think it is different to other James Bond films but I like it anyway.
    Hope you enjoyed it, Joshua!
It really grew on me that one.
First time I watched it I foolishly hated it. not even finishing it.
Now, after repeat viewings. its one of the very best.

If anyone was watching Celebrity 5 go motorhoming on channel 5 tonight. They went
to Scotland, stopping at Glencoe and the spot where Bond parked the DB5.

I reccomend Inspector Montalbano, currently on BBC IPlayer and usually on BBC 4.
Clever series and the xast are top notch.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

    Yes. An excellent show.
I am also enjoying the BBC series of JK Rowling's 'Strike' which has been unusual for modern mystery-crime series in that hardly any one is killed. I so detest the Taggart style of storytelling of one murder every ad break. It's been a refreshing change, even if I can't stomach the drawn out antsy conversations between Strike and his secretary Robin.
For light relief, Upstart Crow is excellent.

I tried Upstart Crow and was less than impressed. The whole thing seemed desperate to want to be Blackadder but David Mitchell doesn't have the range Rowan Atkinson brought to that series.

On the other hand I saw a BBC Comedy Playhouse pilot episode called Static starring Phil Davies, Alison Steasman and Rob Beckett. Really enjoyed it and hope it goes to a series. Still available to watch on iplayer.

    I like this series...really enjoyed the first series and the first episode of the second kept up the high standard -{

I watched this last night...you could probably get a decent 5 minute skit out of it...I can't believe Phil Davies and Alison Steadman are so hard up for work that they signed up for this :(

I've watched another film and I've rejoined our hero massaging Kim bassinger, I don't remember that in the book. I'll give the finale a go I suppose.

To be fair, I did wonder how they would get a whole series worth of stories out of the situation.

Right then, well I watched more of NSNA yesterday than I ever have before, a few things struck me, there are some very reminiscent scenes, though not from tb, the bike and Renault 5 chase had echoes of FYEO 2cv chase, I wonder if fatima gave famke Jansen inspiration for Onnatop? connery can't dance the rumba, is it supposed to be an Austin powers style mickey take? The score is better suited to a porn film, Kim bassinger can't act, connery looks OK but pretty impotent as bond and I can't help feeling he played this with the constant thought of sticking it to Cubby, all in all a pretty cheesy, clichéd and forgettable film, octopussy is far superior.... Thank God for Cubby and his work.

I also don't think it was a very happy production, with almost daily script changes. When the
Bike arrived for the chase sequence, the director asked where the wings were. Only to be told
They were too expensive, so hadn't been used ! It also cost something like £10 million more
Than OP to make, yet it looks really cheap.

When that happens on the film it often means that someone got very rich off the back of the production budget. Not saying that happened here (your honour) but it has been known.

I've really been enjoying the Last Ship in Aust we're only on season 3 whereas US season 4 we normally get the latest .
The show is post apocalyptic world where a virus has wiped out most of the worlds population.
Each season is fresh , great characters and fantastic action
