Shopping for Bond Related Clothes, Items etc in Europe

Hey team,

For some fantastic reason I have nearly a two month holiday from work this December/January and decided that as this probably won't happen again in my job for quite some time, I should make the most of it. So i've organised a holiday to Europe (my first time there!). Planning on visiting the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium and maybe even a few other countries (I am there for quite some time).

Bond wise I'm planning on visiting the Bond in Motion exhibit in London, obviously checking out the SIS building and I may even make the journey out to snowy Altaussee when i'm in Austria. Just wondering though, any key Bond clothes/item related stores I need to make sure not to miss when I'm visiting the countries?

    Guess London has all of the "Bond" stores you prob need - off top of my head....

    Masons & Sons / Anthony Sinclair (appointment only I believe)
    COS
    Tom Ford
    NPEAL
    Turnbull Asser
    Crockett & Jones
    Church
    Floris
    Brunello
    Barbour
    Omega
    Matchless
    Sunspel
    John Smedley
    John Varvatos
    Orlebar
    Harrods / Selfridges

    Jermyn Street for the traditional "British" stuff (CJ / T&A / Sunspel / Floris etc)

    Rules of course for something to eat :D. (recommend Roast Beef)

    Bond / Fleming landmarks are of course everywhere and mostly free

    Guess a lot of the clothes shops above are pointless as one off items you prob already have or long gone stock wise. Always a pleasure though to go down Jermyn St and see more traditional "Gentleman" places like CJ / T&A etc and you soon get the traditional Bond vibe -{

    Last month I stayed on Jermyn Street for a few nights and picked up my order from C&J. The lady I dealt with online insisted she came down from the office and met me in person since I had ordered so many times online in the past -{

    I agree with welshboy78 that London is the place to be for all things Bond. I believe Harrods has quite a bit of Tom Ford clothing. I've just got back from London after seeing Casino Royale in Concert and of course I did some shopping as well. Although not too much this time. I did visit Turnbull & Asser and what a delight it was. The first visit I bought 2 ties (not the Bond ties as my girlfriend found them looking a bit dated and I have to agree with her. However, if you like them, they still sell the TND, TWINE and DAD ties. The TND tie is even available in a variety of colours) and a pair of cufflinks. All in all not a lot but the service I got was top notch. On my final day in London I went bach to grab myself a navy grenadine tie. So, London has you settled for most of your Bond wishes. Just one more store to add to the list. Liberty has the Sanders boots and a nice selection of Barbour jackets.

    Living in the Netherlands myself I can give you some pointers on some shops and places to go to in our tiny country by the sea. For luxury shopping there are two places to go to. The P.C. Hooftstraat is our poshest shopping street where you will find shops like Hermes, Church's, Chanel, Tourbillion (seller of Omega watches) etc. On Dam square there is also a department store called De Bijenkorf that sells high end brands. One of the best places to go shopping is De 9 Straatjes (the 9 small streets), a neighbourhood with several small stores. One of my favourites there is a store called De 9 Heeren that sells a nice selection of Orlebar Brown stuff.

    And don't forget to take some pictures of the canals for the children while standing on the Skinny Bridge.

    If you can do a Bond movie tour by bus they take you to some great locations from across the film locations inLondon. I did it this year and was impressed then took a short walk from Westminster to Strand to breeze through BIM.

    Cheers :007)

    I loved London Mason & sons cool plus once they have your measurements easy to order on line and free shipping.
    Same with Crockett and jones I bought 2 pairs and now know my size.
    Cheaper ex VAT but I got hit for duty on the suits etc.
    Also I loved Scotland .Glen Coe has the Skyfall connection.
    As a fellow Aussie just warning will be cold we did in Jan 2015 I took my Billy Reid and it was perfect.
    Last trip was in July weather pretty good but still rained in the Highlands.
    Hope you have a great trip
