    Now this I like :D
But I struggle with my current Speedy that always gets pushed out for a P.O or 2!

    Cheers :007)
Don't know why but the bezel looks horridly thin and the watch looks disproportionate to me as a result.

I'm more put off by the powder blue subdials with a white date background.

I'm not sure I could live with a blue teddy bear counter weight on the second hand, interesting that this speedy only comes in 38mm.

Did not notice the teddy bear counter weight. As bad as the 007. Just tacky.

I don't know? Other than the teddy bear counter weight and medallion, I think it's a nice looking watch, and it does represent great charity work, I think Omega must know that they have the eye of certain collectors. Though I do think they should leave the fancy second hands to brietling.

Well it's a happy Monday, I got a call from berry's ( a Yorkshire based jeweller and authorised omega dealer) this morning and my new watch ( well new to me) is ready for collection back from servicing. Planet ocean ref 232.30.42.21.01.001. Now I just have to get work done early and head into town as it's just calling for me. :D
Now all I need is my phone upgrade so I can take some decent insurance shots, for some reason all my photos recently look misty?

:)) wouldn't be unusual for my phone to be around when Daltons on.
I will of course put a pic up when I sort out my phone, or else it's out with the camera and laptop which is a bind when your used to using a phone for photos. I think it must be a software issue as the lens is clean and clear and long range shots are fine but close at hand looks like this

This is a shot from before service and camera issues.

It is a fine watch, I'm very pleased. I'll leave the Ti swapping to you, yes 42mm this time, I love my Ti 45mm but the matte bezel looks better on a 42. Cheers buddy.

I tend to agree with you there as much as I like my 2500 PO LM LE I do prefer the matt bezel of the 8500 (to the point I considered doing yet another bezel replacement project)

Anyone seen the new NATOs Omega has on offer?

    FB3_B73_B3-864_A-4252-_B730-_F76_BEBBBD91_B.png

Gives the AT a sporty look. Plenty of options for the black PO 8500

Still feel they missed a trick not releasing blue with red border - would love one of those for my PO 8500 Ti.

Black and red would go nice on my P.O. LM LE though.

    Cheers :007)

I'd leave the LM as it is, theyre quite sought after and unique looking, I like that the matt bezels are not liquid metal but just ceramic, which for me marks them out and offers a very different look to the true black of the 2500 and the colour shifting of the liquid metal. I'll bet in the flesh the matt which is basically dark amd mid grey looks great against Ti

Matt and Ti do complement each other rather well :D

You are probably right the PO LM LE is unique but does not get wrist time when the Ti’s are in town!

Ive seen them on all the aqua terra golf emails they keep sending, I think it's a good move to extend the range.
I like the commander strap, it was the beat part of the watch.

I was thinking of purchasing that one as well. Just out of interest wat watch are you going to wear it with? (I was thinking blue 8500 Ti or SMP maybe too bold for an AT)

Found all these pics on my iPhone over the many years so put them all together and thought i would bang up my 'journey" on here.

I rearranged them into order (left to right) of watches purchased and sold over the many years, starting with the Omega Bond Seamaster 300 which was supposed to be my one and only treat and highlighting the dangers of this hobby :)

Im now down to the 2 PP's and kept the Omega SPECTRE as a beater (but no doubt will use that one to feed my habit in the future)

I liked the idea of 3 watches as I honestly didn't wear half of them!!!!

    Happy watch porn Wednesday {[]

PS - yup I jumped the gun and bought the wrong SPECTRE SMP early - short ownership on that one :)

Demand for this specific color is growing.
