Eaglemoss 1/8 Spy who loved me Lotus Esprit

I'm surprised nobody else has posted about this, but yes,Eaglemoss are testing the Lotus Esprit in 1/8 scale in the Northwest of The United Kingdom(Liverpool/North Wales).Very early days, but it seems you can either build it as the Road car or the submarine.Im excited about it as a companion piece for the DB5 which Ive owned and enjoyed for a number of years now. There was a group on Facebook about it which mysteriously disappeared after a few days.

One thing to note. I believe this is a test run for now - it may not go full-run for a while yet. Just bear that in mind.
Test runs only last a few issues to gauge interest.

Here's the facebook group: (I hope this link works!)

I'm currently in the middle of Eaglemoss' Delorean time machine. The overall quality is a massive improvement over the DB5, which was very toy-like in places. I had to mod the hell out of that before I was happy with it.

The Esprit looks on a par with the Delorean in terms of quality, going by the photos. I'm definitely signing up.

James Bond car collection, Build your own DB5, The Star Trek Starships collection, Build your own Boatus, and De Agostini have now launched Build Your Own Thunderbird 2.

They are trying to bankrupt us!! :#
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

After the DB5 and James Bond Car Collection I told myself: no more partworks! However, if this one makes it to Australia, I want to build both versions...

So you could end up without a complete car if a test run only

Is it possible for somebody from the US to get in on this?

Looks like this project has become reality.... as I've received confirmation email this afternoon from Eaglemoss.

No confirmation of actual number of issues, but suspect (as a binder holds 16 issues) it will be 80.
The DB5 was 86 in total, but had a lot more gadgets and hence more parts.

When I subscribed, the initial confirmation number was in excess of 1100.
Although the actual subscription number is less than 100.
Be interested to hear of others?

Apparently due to receive parts "within 21 days"....
And will be very interested to compare quality with that of DB5
These days it takes three kills...!

    Yep same email confirmation
If its anything like the db5 we'll have to overcome building "snags" along the way... Be useful to share here as well as the site that will no doubt spring up.
I plan to get all parts first before starting
Anyone doing the same make sure you check your parts packets tho, as some (steering wheel / windscreen surround etc) arrived damaged (like 99%) during the db5 run
