Been in touch with Big Chief and their research dept now admit that they got the Delta 9 canister wrong. Hopefully they will be correcting the lettering and also the colour (Copper & Brass not all Brass) before these pieces ship. {[]

To your second point -- and possibly clarifying my post -- I believe what Big Chief does is pull the trigger with their manufacturer in China based on the pre-orders plus some X percent for people who held out until they saw 1) the actual product and/or 2) product actually shipping. So they aren't going to even start making these until the pre-order window closes which I would guess to be a few weeks out. Thought there's obviously a First Edition being advertised, I don't know that Big Chief is touting these as limited editions so I couldn't predict if there's to be a wait list or what might happen. I would expect that at some point they'd cease production on these and move on to the next title or whatever.

Really don't see the point of releasing exactly the same figure which Sideshow issued. I would be happy to see Solitaire and Samedi as extensions of an existing 1/6 realm, though I realize commerce doesn't exactly work that way.
At minimum they should have put him in a different outfit as they're doing with the GF Connery.

I get where you are coming from, but I can appreciate Big Chief's wanting to begin with one iconic movie for each main Bond - and it's appropriate that they got Sir Rog as an (unplanned) homage to his passing.
I wouldn't accept any other LATD outfit - especially not the NY one! To me the black Jamaica/San Monique action outfit is one of the top RM styles, and would love to get that Bond figure (ordering GF's SC soon).
I'm sure if the line keeps growing we will eventually get to GL's Sir Hillary in kilt! )

Wound-up having a looooong conversation at Fanderson with the CEO of Big Chief.
While they were only showing Captain Scarlet, Thunderbirds, etc. at that event, we talked about their Bond line, what was next, etc.
They are open to fan input but it was really eye-opening to hear first hand about not only their decision making process but literally how the figures and accessories are designed, tooled, etc. Really left me rethinking some of my criticism of both Big Chief and Sideshow.
Wow... they stated that they have all the Bond films in their license and have plans to get to all of them in time... I only hope that when they do reach Skyfall that the DC figure is in the lodge scene clothing with the Anderson Wheeler hunting rifle (one can hope)

For Quantum of Solace I'd want the the TF Harrington outfit from the final battle and the Haiti outfit.
Just as a heads up on the LALD-figures. I contacted Big Chief asking if they would male it on time for X-mas.
Answer: No, they are planned to be released at around march-april.
Does anybody else find this an utter effrontery? They collect the money as early as February 2018 and don‘t deliver untel ober a year later...

After months of frustrating interaction with their original supplier (whose product was clearly not going to match the level of their prototypes), they finally switched factories. This is affecting all of their product lines.
Not good, obviously, but, sadly, pretty much par for the course with high-end figure makers; it seems most all of them run up to a year behind schedule.

@ MFisher, I would love to see an action figure of Bond from SkyFall just like you described. Also I would really like to see an action of Timothy Dalton from The Living Daylights since Sideshow already made two action figures from Licence To Kill. Hopefully Big Chief will have some news in the near future.
