Re: Garbage's TWINE: a classic?

I think in hindsight we were lucky to have TND and TWINE both including great songs. Both incorporated the 90's sound, Garbage with the electro rythym backing and Sheryl with a stripped down, smokey seedy nightclub feel, but both with vintage twangy reverb guitars. Arnold obviously understood how to blend the classic and modern without descending into pastiche, just listen to Bjorks "Play Dead" from his Young Americans soundtrack, what a great Bond theme that could have been.
I honestly don't think we've had a theme song as good as either of those two since, although Adele comes close, with Jack White ruining the opportunity to use Alicia Keys talents with his turkey of a song. In fact in TWENTY years we've only had five more films/songs since TWINE. I always thought Portishead could have nailed a Bond theme btw ajb007/smile

+1 (though there's a mob of angry insulted turkeys outside).
