  • Personally, I believe the Tom Ford jeans to be the Slim version. I bought both pair to compare them, BPJ26 in Slim and straight.
The conclusion that I've come to is that they are the Slim version in a half size too big. That's why people are confused
on the fit. They are trying to buy their normal size, but in the pictures on set of Bond 25, it's clear that they are hanging on his hips, "sagging" which makes the thighs and legs seem more relaxed and bigger when you go up a size, and causes the calves and ankles to billow more. The jeans in the pictures on set clearly have a tapered fit to them with a narrow leg opening. If you hemmed the straight fit, the leg opening would be too big, which you would have to do for someone Craig's height, 5'10. Both versions come in a very long length.

Maybe the production team purchased them in slim and straight, one for hero shots and one for action scenes. (pure speculation) Conclusion: unless someone has a pair from the set in their hands, I think we should avoid saying "For a fact it's the slim" or "for a fact it's the straight".

I'll post some pictures, and let everyone draw their own conclusion. Let's face it...at the end of the day, they are only jeans.

My personal view from the overall fit is straight, DC certainly hasnt got skinny thighs / legs and the slim are way too tight on my thighs, costume may have tapered the straights below the knee. They definitely altered the hem so have "worked" on them. This is TF Milan and Londons view.

I discussed this in detail when I considered tailoring my pair (tho decided the cost v gain wasnt worth it due to the amount of stitching required).... And couldnt touch the waist really which is what mine needed.

But still believe go for fit that "fits" you and you are comfortable in / wearing... And if into the detail, nail the silver metalwear and black TF mini tag!!!
    Skewered, one sympathises...

You could be right, but one thing to consider is that if you go up 1 size in the slim, everything gets bigger, not just the waist. If you go up a size in the slim the thighs will be more roomy and the leg opening will be slightly larger.
Chris Collins went down a size in the straight and the first thing he said was "wow, the thighs are tight!".
It's just my personal view, if someone wants a screen accurate look, go up a size in the slim instead of down a size in the straight.

I have the Quantum 7 for all mankind mercer jeans with the correct product code in size 31 (which I believe is close to the size DC wears) and the thighs in those jeans fit tighter than the B25 tom ford grey jeans in size 32 slim.

My main reason for throwing all this out there is to help people with sizing. Not all of us live next to a Tom Ford store. Being 5'11 and 170 lbs, I think the ones in B25 are the slim, but you have to go up one size in the waist for the rest of the pants to fit right. If you pull the waist up, everything gets tighter in the jeans, if you drop the waist down, everything gets looser. In the pics of Craig wearing them, they are certainly low rise. In fact, in one picture they are falling off his rear. Haha

Orlebar Brown is out with a preview of its new collection, including a drawcord version of the Setter swimsuit. The one showcased has a white side stripe, but could there be a navy version coming closer to the launch of Bond 25?

Vuarnet site mentions size in inches.. but converted looks like the 06 has 58MM lens, is this correct? If so, it might actually fit my giant head.. doesn't look that large on Bond.

I think I was being too subtle in this post. I believe the Bond 25 swim trunks are Drawcord Setters from Orlebar Brown’s upcoming collection. I know people here examined those Jamaica photos VERY closely. What do you think?

Well spotted Cheverian, great job, I think they're the closest we've seen so far.
The link must be partially broken, I can't get the full page to load. However I did find them myself.

These are the shorts Cheverian has nominated: https://www.orlebarbrown.com/us/autumn/setter-drawcord/270673.html?dwvar_270673_color=623

The style is named 'setter drwacord'

OB is showing these in their 'new season preview'. I think we can expect to see a full navy version with all matching details pretty soon.

I think the D.C. screen worn ones are very similar but not a direct navy blue version of these, I do think that they are made by OB. As we know their 007 range was always to be in 3 phases, the first being the poster print shorts, the second is the retro line just released, so it makes sense that the 3rd will be B25 specific. I also think that when we saw the images of D.C. in Jamaica and everyone was looking for the shorts, the likes of Mr Zaritsky and others ‘in the know’ we’re all remarkably quiet, and I believe DZ even said ‘be patient’ in one post....

I think the same. These shorts are missing the side zippers. But I also think that the T-Shirt will be OB. But I don`t think that it is one of the current t-shirts. The cloth of the current line up seems to me to be of a thicker kind. The current OB t-shirts drape differently in my opinion.

They were probably part of the potential swim trunk selections if there was one but she or more likely Craig just chose something else.

Most of you need to keep in mind that Bond 25 has a different custom designer : Suttirat Larlarb
I personally would not count on any brand from Jany Temime’s Bond run to be back in Bond 25 (Sponsors: Tom Ford & Omega are an obvious exception). The only hope is if DC himself (who has a major influence) decides to wear something from those brands that we loved ( Orlebar Brown, Billy Reid...etc) what we have seen so far suggests my theory.

Daniel Craig calls most of the shots with his own Bond wardrobe and has done so since Skyfall. It's why his Tom Ford suits in Bond 25 look almost identical to the suits in Spectre despite a different costume designer. It's why we saw Billy Reid and Brunello Cucinelli on him as Bond, and it's why we're going to see Billy Reid again. If we see Orlebar Brown again, that would now be because of their collaboration with EON. But many of the brands we saw with Jany could return for Bond 25 because Craig chose many of them himself.

Yes I already established that DC does have an influence and he certainly brings in some brands, but he doesn't run the wardrobe department. So I disagree that he selects all of the brands that appear in his movies.

Plus As it is already obvious by now that we haven’t seen any returning brands except for TF and Omega (SO FAR) . Jany is more European in her brands, styles and fit. Suttirat is more American so more laid back and relaxed casual wear fit (check out her other movies)

    Either way, we shall see. It’s just that I feel the last two movies have raised everyone’s expectations too high in the wardrobe department. :) -{

DC has much more influence than you can imagine when it comes to the style he exudes in the film....on this film it seems more than ever. Think of him as the final word in Bond wardrobe, and then some. I warrant you will see OB, Billy Reid, NPeal, TF, Omega, Crockett & Jones, and potentially something from Rag & Bone....
