Re: Bond 25 SPOILER news

Bond films typically have about five big set action pieces. It would be odd if four of them were car chases.

Spectre had, the Mexico helicopter action, then the Rome car chase, the Austrian plane-car chase, meteor base escape and the London finale, split between MI6 hq and the ruined MI6 former hq.

Skyfall had, Istanbul car, train chase, Macao Casino fight, island shootout escape, London committee hearing shootout, Skyfall Lodge shootout.

Quantum had car chase, Siena foot chase, Haiti bike/motor boat chase/fight, Austrian opera fight, Bolivian aerial chase/fight and exploding hotel finale.

Casino had, Madagascar foot chase, Miami airport foot/vehicles chase/fights, Casino hotel Obanno and henchman stairwell fight, car chase/torture sequence, Venice action with sinking building.

I think Archivo 007 is the source about that Cuban chase: https://archivo007.com/novedades-de-sin … ara-morir/

And, yes, I can assure you 100% that there's a big chase in Cuba that starts in a bar (or pub or disco) and that leads to buildings, roofs and streets, including cars and Cuban police. Bond wears a tuxedo and runs with Ana (dark night dress) and Dali Benssalah is the one who chases them... along with the police.

Lots of people involved in the chase and a really big set.

Re: Bond 25 SPOILER news

A photo in this tweet shows the beige SUV on set along with a black LR New Defender. The beige SUV has a stunt driver's cage on top suggesting that principal cast actors are in this SUV and not stunt hench-persons. ;-)
https://twitter.com/springhousese/statu … 60833?s=20

This photo also suggests that the Norwegian Atlantic road filming is an earlier part of this LR New Defender car chase, and so we know of 3 car chases, not four; still a lot for one Bond film. I wonder what happens to the Vantage?

Sadly, as we have seen Russian car number plates in these scenes, Norway does indeed to be doubling for Russia. Will Norway also be Norway in the film at all?

Interesting that we see Benssalah again after Matera.

I'm still mystified as to where Leiter and Billy Magnussen are in all this Cuban action.

No, that was in Jamaica. This scene was shot when Craig had that kind of plaster leg on, that's why they made some reshots for the action parts in October.

Leite is in Jamaica, but we don't know if he'd be in Cuba...

But they never shot anything in Cuba, right? It’s my understanding that Craig injured his leg in Jamaica (doubling for Cuba).

Re: Bond 25 SPOILER news

Another Craig interview. This time from a Belgian newspaper, but the origonal source is aparently The Sunday Times. I think it was translated by Pierce2Daniel for MI6Community:
https://m.hln.be/de-krant/wij-spraken-a … ~ab80a27d/

We were one of the first to talk to Daniel Craig (51) about his latest Bond film: "My bones are starting to crack"
After fifteen years and five Bond films, Daniel Craig is now really on the hook. Although the recordings of 'No Time to Die' were only completed three weeks ago and the film will only be available in cinemas with us from the beginning of April, we already managed to get the British actor into an exclusive conversation. "I had a particularly hard time saying goodbye to colleagues."

'It's a wrap. We'll see you in the cinema in April 2020, "was recently read on the official 007 Twitter account. In the tweet a photo of Daniel Craig, posing in a tuxedo and a thick winter coat next to director Cari Joji Fukunaga. In Craig's hands: the very last folding sign of 'No Time to Die'. This was it. This time for real, because the actor made headlines four years ago when he said he would rather cut his wrists than shoot a fifth Bond film. He didn't feel like it anymore and was ready for a rest, but he was 'stuck' because he had already signed the contract for the new film.
Craig takes those statements back during our interview in Los Angeles without hesitation. "I am really, really happy to have added one more film. It was terribly hard work, but the other four were also. Bond is a gigantic production that countless people have worked on. I think I have them miss most of all. "
Worked together for thirty years
Craig says he had to say goodbye to people he knew even before his Bond era. "I have worked with some for over thirty years, that is how long I have been in Hollywood. Five films, that is a lot, and it is therefore inevitable that you get a close bond with those guys. Saying goodbye is very difficult for me I know that someday I will meet them somewhere on a set, but that is something else. "
Although 'No Time to Die' will only be available in cinemas in six months' time, the film has already completed an exceptionally turbulent route. For example, a new director had to be found twice, the filmmakers did not even get to know the script and an explosion caused a part of the set to collapse and a crew member to be injured. It became the most expensive Bond print ever, with a budget of no less than 250 million euros, about five million more than predecessor 'Specter' from 2015. Moreover, Craig was also seriously injured in his ankles. It is by far the most cursed film in the history of the series, although the protagonist tries to put it all into perspective. "Oh well, I got injured with every Bond movie. That's just part of it."

3A large part of the scenes was filmed in the southern Italian city of Matera ...
Photo NewsA large part of the scenes was filmed in the southern Italian city of Matera ...
Three possible endings
The last recordings took place in Matera, a rocky city in the southern Italian region of Basilicata, which is sometimes called the cultural capital of Europe. Craig says he couldn't have imagined a better location for the latest film. "The city plays a very important role in the film, making it a character in itself. The opening scene is also set there."
Where and how 'No Time to Die' will end, however, remains a mystery to everyone. For example, a British newspaper recently reported that the outcome is so secret that even Craig does not know him. According to the newspaper, Fukunaga would have filmed three possible endings, so that the climax would not leak.
And what does a Bond actor do when the recordings are finally over? "The film was canned on Friday night, and I was already on the beach on Monday morning," laughs Craig. "I lay down there and I lay down for hours. I could just as well have taken a walk, but after such a long and tiring shoot I was really ready for a satisfying holiday."
Hollywood would not be Hollywood, should a plottwist turn up somewhere, so we ask whether it is really the last time that we will see Craig as Bond. (determined) "Yes. We must be able to give other actors the chance to play Bond, too. (laughs) It may be hard to believe, but I really liked James Bond. It was one of the most intense things I've done it. But it takes a lot of energy. And I'm getting old. My bones are starting to crack. "
3 ... known for its rock dwellings. "The city is a character in itself," said Craig.
Photo News ... known for its rock dwellings. "The city is a character in itself," said Craig.
Grumbler
Craig talks fast, honest and funny. Fully at ease. Surprising, because during earlier meetings he often took a closed position. Moreover, more than one paparazzi photo is circulating on which he sticks out his middle finger.

Re: Bond 25 SPOILER news

Are we getting a teaser trailer Wednesday morning or Tuesday night?

I don't think the #metoo comments by actors means we're going to see a woke teaser, but I think now that we could see Spectre references at the start of the NTTD teaser. I used to think the teaser would make out the film was a normal Bond film (https://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/954830/#p954830) but with some of the recent actor comments, I don't think it will be that straightforward, albeit not woke.

Reflecting on the Spectre teaser, I see now that the teaser builds to the title reveal. Going backwards from the title reveal, Spectre, Bond is at a meeting of some ominous organisation, Mr White warns him he is a kite in a hurricane, we see the funeral and Austrian lake and lakeside house, leading up to Mr White's appearance where he begins to warn Bond about Spectre, and before all that we have Bond looking at his personal effects (for a personal mission?) given to him by Moneypenny who references Skyfall and before her we see a ruined MI6 hq, another link to Skyfall. I think this linking of films will continue.

Narration has been a big part of DC's last two teasers and we've heard a lot about how women drive NTTD forward. I think the NTTD teaser could see a Malek/Safin narration talking about revenge on Bond, perhaps a shot of an imprisoned Blofeld, for the Spectre reference to begin with and a shot of Bond with Madeleine, and then Moneypenny next to the Judi Dench portrait, and maybe a shot of M saying Bond is retired to Nomi, and the first half of the teaser ending with the Matera car chase and then the latter half of the teaser a rapid series of shots including a fan friendly Felix Leiter appearance and action scenes with Nomi helping Bond and also Bond in Cuba with Paloma and the Russia car chase, perhaps with the Blofeld Spectre comments about all the women in his life ending up dead as narration for this second half nicely leading into the boat explosion as the seaplane flies over followed by the words No Time To Die appearing.

Not the Leiter-centric teaser I had thought of before.

Teaser has dropped.

Distorted mask man at the end of the teaser bares resemblance to the mask guy that attacks young Madeleine in Norway. I think the jacket is the same.

Wow.

I agree with Shatterfang, the final shot is likely from the Norway winter villa scene.

It looks like I got a couple of things right about my trailer speculation, Paloma in Cuba, Russia car chase and Matera all make appearances. My guess about the opening shot of Bond with injuries to his face looking down, as maybe a garage door is opening, is that is when he gets the Vantage in the third act.

And Nomi isn't in the Valhalla, the shape of the car isn't right. A right hand drive DBS Superleggera is my guess.

Love the end with presumably Safin in a mask. Someone mentioned that the Norway shot from a while back was a Japanese mask. Safin Shatterhand perhaps?

The people who made it are very clear this is an action movie.
Who's that weilding two pistols? de Armas?
The person behind the glass looks like the man on the frozen lake. That sort of glass is fairly common in front doors, so it's probably a scene from the cabin.

Re: Bond 25 SPOILER news

About the mask in the teaser: A post in MI6 Community says the everyone in the SPECTRE meeting in Rome was wearing masks in early drafts. Lucia gave a mask to Bond so he could get in. I like the idea of a meeting in a secretive organsisation where everyone is masked. There are historical examples too. This is the central commitee of Milorg (the military part of the pro-king and government resistance in Norway during WWI)

Maybe this picture of Madeleine and Bond in what looks like an MI6 interview room from Skyfall should have been in this thread?
https://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/963600/#p963600

Is this confirmation that Madeleine is working for MI6 to ensure she is safe from Spectre? A testy reunion?

Isn't DC wearing the suit (with blue shirt) we see him wearing when he meets M and Tanner near Hammersmith bridge?

If you look at the hair and jawline of the leaked mask Norway photo, it seems to be pretty obviously Rami Malek.

Re: Bond 25 SPOILER news

Malek's face looks strange. Some kind of wrinkles or scars, I think. Is it a result of desease or poisoning perhaps?
