Hi Guys,
Here are the first 6 pages from my sketchbook which, according to the first page, I started 10 YEARS ago!!! Wow, does time fly. I originally intended to add at least 1 page every day. Can you imagine if I had kept up that schedule!!!
Enjoy

    Hey guys.

It was only until yesterday when i saw ed's sketches that i even realised i had a bond related article.

to put you in the picture, this knife was given to me from my dad. i remember dad telling me he'd taken it off a guy after this guy had pulled it on him during a bit of a scrap. anyways, the guy got pasted, and my dad kept the knife.

yesterday, when i was going through ajb007, i saw ed's sketches, and theres my knife! lol.

i'm not sure its worth much, but all i can say about mine is that its an original 60's era, cos thats about the time dad would have been scrapping lol.

so heres a few pics for you guys, and cheers to ed for posting his sketches, and also cheers to dad for (probably) unwittingly giving me a bit of bond merchandise without either of us knowing it lol.

    Minigeff,
See...what did I say (maybe in another posting) How GREAT is it when you uncover that you already have a Bond prop...and didn't know it...LOL

It appears your knife is a variation in that to unlock the blade you push down on the protruding part of the back of the lock.

I did post a photo of mine under the other posting "THE ED MAGGIANI COLLECTION"
That version unlocks the blade by depressing the front half of the blade guard which causes it to swivel and push the lock off the pin on the blade.

Yep Ed, the artwork is superlative. I would love it if you blew some of these up and printed them on archival paper for sale to us. They would be great to frame for my Bond room/office.

absolute works of art.. I am loving these

    Outstanding ! :)

is there any chance of purchasing a printed
copy of your scetch book .. what film does it
    actualy go up to. ?
  • thespyboys11thespyboys11 Lindenwold,NJPosts: 1,845MI6 Agent
Well, I don't really know how well something like that would sell or if anyone would really be interested in getting it. It was never intended for anything other than my personal reference use.

I'll have one printed up and see what it would cost for those interested.

Unfortunetly, I only went up to FRWL...and not even all of it.
With the advent of being able to do screen captures and storing reference photos and information in our computers it was easier to do that in seconds than to take hours to draw something into a sketchbook.

    Ed,
Love the pic about Connery's shirt, even down to the measurements from T&A. :-D I take it that's from the Inside Dr. No documentary. There's an extra measurement I saw there which I didn't see on yours... which is Cuffs (10). I'd love to be able to decipher what's at the bottom of the card but it's so blurry...

    urhash,
I believe you're right. To be honest, I forget where I got it.
I have, however, pencilled in your information on my original sketch...THANKS!!!
