Moments/things that would be a big deal now

Nowadays, when a new instalment in a franchise is released, big deals are made out of things such as Easter eggs, references, and cameos. However, this has never been made a big deal out of the Bond films; gene though there are loads of things. A few I can think of:
- Playing bridge with Drax, a reference to the book but not part of the story.
- Gogol's cameos in MR and TLD
- Bond going through his drawer, reference to previous films in OHMSS
All I can think of right now, can anyone else think of stuff like this, that would be a big deal now?
