Custom No Time To Die blue commando sweater

Waiting for the N.Peal blue commando sweater to come out, I tried to make one myself.
I took a military sweater on amazon (€ 24,18) and I made some changes:
first I removed the shoulder straps, then I inserted a neck strap like the genuine one.
I think the result is not bad. simple and cheap. What do you think?

I did the same with the Goodthreads military sweater off of Amazon and ran a 40” shoelace through it.

That’s exactly what we used to do for real. I still have some somewhere. Never thought they’d become fashionable

I love it! I have the same exact sweater from Amazon. I really want to make the alterations by adding the strings to the neck but I am nervous that Ill mess it up. Was it hard to do?

I think it’s great, my skin is super sensitive to wool, so this being cotton feels great! They run big, so I sized down to a medium, it’s lose enough to be comfortable but has a bit of an athletic cut to it.

The shoelace hack started in WW2, is that correct?
