    Hi Guys,

Just a couple of things to mention. I only have 1 Small pea coat left, so if that's your size, please don't wait. I'd rather see it go to you guys who've been very good to me, otherwise it may be sold through ebay, which I'm also now listed on.

Also as you've probably noticed, I have changed the name of the thread to reflect my current offering. Of course I could have started individual threads for different pieces, but I've actually grown quite fond of having this all inclusive thread. Think of it then as the ROYALE Filmwear thread, with all questions and answers in the one place. The title may just change slightly from time to time to keep it current.

And a very big thank you to everyone who has been sending me very kind emails in regards to receiving their pea coats. It has taken me over 3 years at this to build the relationship I have with my manufacturer and well simply put, he did a cracking job. So thank all for the kind words, I'll be sure to pass them on to him.

    Daniel.

I know it's early for asking but do you plan another run of peacoats - maybe next winter - with a XXS ? ( being a true XS with the Harington and the Y-3 , I could not size down for the peacoat , the fit would have been off :( )

Got my pea coat in the mail yesterday and finally have time to give my opinion. In Short, it's amazing. Dan really knocked it out of the park. Quality, fabric, and fit are spot on. I just wish it was colder where I am so I can go out and wear it.

Did you get any of Dan's previous coats? If so, did you keep the same size or size down?

In California it's too hot for even my cotton peacoats. One of the reasons I've held off on getting one. I imagine Texas is much the same.

I got his Lodge Jacket but the sizing is different. I have that in a Large, whereas the Pea Coat is a small. If you own one of his Harrington's, you would move down a size for the Pea Coat. I plan on getting the Harrington in medium.

The good thing about Texas weather is it can change on a dime. So I have a good feeling I'll get some use out of it. :D

Thats a great fit Thomas, good job on the whole get-up looking very sharp sir. Thank you again for your personal email, it means a lot that you guys stick with me on these small-run projects. I have you down for a medium harrington as requested.

Also, keeping a watchful eye on some of the exciting new stuff coming up in Spectre, can't wait to see what information Mr Zaritsky has dug up in this regard. David has said he'll be reviewing my ROYALE pea coat as part of that video. The suspense is killing me!!

Hi, first post on the forums. So I've had my eye on the Billy Reid for some time, but couldn't justify the price and was a bit concerned about sizing as several reviews said it varied quite a bit.
Luckily stumbled on this board and I am now the proud owner of a medium Royal, if anyone is wondering, definitely go and order one, I have 43" chest, 34 waist and it fits perfect. I hope Dan produces more of his other jackets (esp the Haiti). Btw delivery time has been great, 1 week from oz to the UK.

Keep up the good work! :)

So I'm late to the party with Royale Filmwear, would love to buy the Harrington and the Lodge Jacket. Are either of this going for a second run in the near future?
  • 7700777007 Posts: 502MI6 Agent
Harrington is coming soon, according to Daniel, who was estimating it 8-10 weeks away about 6 weeks ago already.

Havent heard anything about a Lodge Jacket launch?
  • WardWard Maryland/LondonPosts: 195MI6 Agent
That's great news. I know the Harrington has been and gone, I must have been mistaken about the Lodge jacket.

Sorry to go over old ground, but how did the Harrington's run, size-wise? True to size?

    Hi guys,

I will definitely be ordering the Harrington, but just for my info. Does anyone here who's a size 38/48 in a Windsor/Base A and own's this Harrington? If so what size do you take? I am planning to wear a t shirt underneath.

    Many thanks

Due to mounting medical bills, it's time to start thinning out my collection. :#

As suggesed, go with the size Small Phil.

Good news guys, the harringtons should be finished by next week, so they'll be up for sale the week after hopefully. Thank you everyone for your patience, I am overwhelmed by the interest in this production run. If you have emailed me and are on my notification list, you will be the first to know as soon as they become available.

Also, just an update on the SKYFALL peacoats. SOLD OUT of XS, S, M and have a handful of Larges and a couple of XL's left.

As most of you know, the shipping rates on the peacoats are quite expensive, but as I only have a few of them left, I'm prepared to offer free shipping on the remaining stock. Shipping from Australia to the UK does cost approximately $82AUD and about $63AUD to the US, so that's a huge saving.... Time to make room on the shelves for the harringtons! Stay tuned :)

Dan, were any changes made to the new Harrington coming in from the previous run?

Yes, a few subtle changes, which I will confirm once they are received. The new jackets will have smoother YKK zippers as used on the ROYALE Haiti jacket, in black. The leather zip pulls will also be in black making this screen accurate, and another 1/2 inch has been added to the sleeve length. The sleeve length on the previous run was spot on for most, but the extra half inch will make the difference for a couple of customers in particular and the screen accurate look is to have 'stacking' in the sleeve anyhow with the cuff more fitted around the wrist.

I will confirm these minor changes once received, hopefully in about a week or so.

    Great news!

So, I' go back and forth between a 38 and 40 suit jacket and small and medium coats. Should I size down the small for the Harrington?

Excellent news, can't wait. I'm loving the Pea Coat :)

Interesting Daniel, I actually found the sleeve length on my jacket to be so long it comes down to the Knuckles on my hands. I had a similar issue with the peacoat, but it's much easier to have tailored. The split sleeve on the Harrington jacket makes this more problematic. A rough measurement of the sleeve on my Harrington jacket indicates about 37-inches as opposed to my dress shirts which are labeled as 35-inch. Snugger cuffs would make sleeve length less of an issue, and I'm probably going to have the buttons on my jacket moved slightly. Still, love your work. Kind of hoping you'll make the SPECTRE jacket seen in Bond's encounter with Mr. White in the trailer and the jacket he is wearing when he disarms the guard in the snow. :D

Thank you for your comments Mr Pyrat and your contributions over at James Bond Lifestyle. I agree, the sleeve length of my jackets is already substantial and I have had to tailor my own sleeve length to get it just right for me on the Haiti jacket and Pea Coat (not so on the harrington). I guess the important thing here for me is to not exclude anyone from purchase for that reason. Most of us snappy dressers ;) will no doubt want to get that sort of thing 'just so' which often means tailoring. With the harrington in particular, I find it much less of an issue. To me it should be buttoned to the second button on the cuff, which means I do that everytime I put it on or take it off. You can relocate that button so it is a perfect fit around the wrist. It is a pain sometimes unbuttoning and rebuttoning when you put the jacket on or take it off, but I think that offers a better screen look, with the 'stacking' in the slightly longer sleeve.

And I'll be waiting for more details on the Spectre outfits, but yes I'd be happy to consider some Spectre jackets if the interest is there.

Just an FYI guys... I am expecting this run of harringtons to sell out immediately. If you are on my notification list you'll know the moment they become available.

Wearing the sleeves fitted at the wrist offers the correct look, as you can see with the stacking in the sleeves.

Looking at those two pics I still think that the front of the jacket should be 0.5" - 1" longer.

    Good to hear that Dan- I'm pretty sure there will be lots of interest. And while I haven't bought one of your coats yet, I can see some great reviews here, so I'd certainly be very interested in one of the SPECTRE ones. -{

    Hi Daniel,

Great work releasing the jackets. However I like to order 2 as one of them is for my friend, but the shipping seems to be quite expensive, as is per jacket basis, @80 USD to the UK. Is that correct?

    Thanks

    Phil

Apologies if this has already been covered but will there be rerun on the Haiti jacket?
  • TheExit148TheExit148 Posts: 562MI6 Agent
The Harrington jacket is back up. I put in an order for another small. If all is good with it, I'll be selling the previous run jacket if anyone is interested (also size small). If it doesn't work out, I'll be selling the new run jacket.
  • proteinnerdproteinnerd Posts: 11MI6 Agent
The jacket from the second run has arrived. Great quality as expected. Thanks again Dan, top work and fast shipping.

This one is actually for my wife lol
I got sick of hearing from her how much she loves mine since I got it, and the fact that Harrington's are in atm for girls, we decided to take a chance on an XS and it fits pretty well, maybe little big but thats how they are wearing them so she is very happy.
Now we just have to co-ordinate so we dont match lol

I have been asked to do a women's line... :)) No need!

70% of the new stock is now gone guys, running low in a couple of sizes.
