Here's what those looked like before I said "unacceptable" ("Well, our Japanese customers think they're just fine!") and gave them Stears' drawings to work from (click the thumbnail for a larger view):
Though they now boast of offering cars, I think the Matador may have been their first. All told the project took nearly a year to get right.

I've approached them regarding two other projects in the past year but they won't reply. I could tell from my last commnication with them that they were furious at having to revisit the job after the Japanese buyers had been all agog over the original. Yet they did redo it and I would expect sell more of them as a result. Oh well ...
I've thought about approaching them to do the Disco Volante.

You might want to Google that first! In searching for something else entirely a few years back, I stumbled on a slew of links to RC DV models, mostly just the hydrofoil (that is, no "coccoon"). Regardless, there are apparently several kits available, and still more that have gone out of production but probably turn-up on eBay, etc. Keep in mind that the "Flying Fish" (the boat's original name) was real and more than one was built so it isn't soley Bond memorabilia.

If you're serious, let me recommend another firm I've found in the meantime that's much less expensive and far easier to work with (thus far); Griffin leave alot to be desired in the customer service arena.
I was just wondering where you found the 'Worlds Greatest Marches' Tape cover? And, if it was one you made, if youw ould consider making replicas of it?

One thing I did notice in your November update, you have the February 1969 issue of Playboy magazine in what seems to be your Diamond's Are Forever collection.
This magazine appeared in OHMSS.

Ahhh, good for you...you have noticed one of the MANY misplacements in my collection. These are such because I do not yet have a dedicated area for OHMSS....YET! The goal is to have an area for each movie. I am hoping to have the Casino Royale area ready to post by next week. Longer term goal is for all the Bond movies to have their "area" by June of 2007. We'll see....lots more hunting to do.
I love OHMSS (it's my favourite) and although my collection is quite weak compared to yours David, one piece of my collection that I just LOVE, is my Portuguese "Setembro" calendar page. It's not the exact one that 007 threw the knife into, but rather a back up page they were to use in case the knife thrower missed the 14th day.
I purchased mine from rareprops.com, but I do believe that bondcollectibles.de also has one for sale. Alternatively, you could simply make your own copy for much much cheaper.

Drifting fantastically off-topic, but yes, I'm often struck when watching a local broadcast while in some hotel room somewhere just what passes for "news" in various markets. Though I'm just as conscious--living in a TINY town--how ridiculous the coverage can be here, what with things like a high school football victory or some such serving to open the telecast! If I lived in New York and saw the recent report from a nearby town with it's first murder in something like four years, I don't quite know if I'd be envious or sneer ....
Bringing us back onto topic. Managed to get some stuff framed and on teh walls finally. I'm hoping this will dramatically change over the next few weeks as I add more. But these are a few early photos of the redecoration.

I sold a lot of my posters because eveywhere I moved had a lack of wall space to hang posters/pictures...including, VERY STUPIDLY, a nice British Quad from YOLT. :'(
Yes, that's my problem with posters. I have a bunch of them, but I don't have room to display them. I already got one whole room with nothing but Bond, see my prior post for a video.

The Connery one is actually my favourite as well, it was the first autograph I got. I also used to collect UK quad posters, but there so big, I could not display them all, as well as not afford to purchase any of the earlier ones. So eneded up selling them all. The only one I still have is a licence to kill one. Which was replaced by the CR hoarding, so I have either got to get myself a new frame or sell that as well.
I must say, I am amazed and astounded by the detail and impressiveness of these collections. I am completely blown away. As a collector of different sorts, I take my hats off to you all!

My firm just auctioned a small item autographed by him that looked nothing like that; the more room they've got, the more interesting rock stars' signatures can get. Congrats, he's highly collectible regardless of the Bond connection.

All the others I have seen have been simliar. But they sign different depending on loads of factors. At the premiere DC was just doing a really lazy DC signature, rather than his full one.
Hard to come by? Why, because the James Bond stores close too early? You have a lot of stuff there that I haven't seen before. Where did you get that mini-standee of FRWL Connery holding a gun? Thanks for sharing!
