Eh. Didn't watch the Craig parodies (or even comment on them that I recall...), won't watch this one either. Some folks like these kinda things, some don't. Guess I'm a don't.

Seeing how some have been mildly perturbed, this indeed is proof that CR is too sacred to mess with! There's certainly no Craig-dissing here, so, I don't see any problem. Having watched The Matador for the first time last month (DVD), this is a funny send-up! I've been waiting all day to watch this since my office's firewall blocks certain streaming media, I thought it would be some really involved piece of work like IEU2D's parody or emtiem's finely crafted CR fan trailer several months ago, but I'm mildly suprised/frustrated to see how simple the video at hand was put together. Nonetheless, the end result is, I like it, mostly in part because I liked Brosnan's self depricating approach to Matador that extended itself into this CR satire, the imagined tirade (the cursing and crying scene) he must have experienced after not getting rehired, the gut-sucking arguments for his timely dismissal, etc.

i must be honest... i like the video, yet i didn't get it...
anyhow, i might add some material to that video, also from "the matador", like the sniping failed scenes... and maybe some M voiceover, but that just make it a more "serious" parody video.
i don't know (or wanna know) if the video was for a anti Craig, anti Brosnan or viceversa, the truth, it's just a viedo, please dont start a war or somethig like that

I found this quite amusing, although I do prefer the Casino Royale parody trailer that was made recently. That one was very witty indeed, to the extent that I laughed out loud: 'You can talk you traitorous bitch'.
I didn't take it as a anti-Craig, pro-choice, whatever, etc. It was just plain fun.

Well in this case it might be beause the description by the maker states: "This trailer was a response to an anti-Craig Casino Royale trailer, made using footage from The Matador". So the motive is right there on the label. It's a case of tit for tat bickering Bond Fan You Tubers. )

Well, that may be the motivation but as a huge Brosnan fan, I can't see anything offensive about it.
The real question is, would people accept a Bond with a moustache and a haircut like that?

Pierce Brosnan shines in the role of James Bond, but I am actually glad that he did not appear in CR. If CR had been his last film, I wouldn't be able to say that he left on a high note.
