Sometimes I can't get over these "special edition" packages for DVDs. Sheesh, why don't they just toss a CR disc in an Aston Martin and sell that as a special edition?

I see nothing in the feature lineup indicating that there's a commentary track. What? Is this going to be the first Bond film to not have a commentary?
Yes, it would appear so. I find this very disappointing, especially after the very good Campbell/Wilson commentary on GE, I was rather looking forward to more of the same for CR. I personally consider a commentary to be the most important special feature on a Bond DVD. But, at the end of the day, the film is the by far the most important part, and at least that won't disappoint!

The Casino Royale DVD is now on release in Region 3 (South Asia). You can order a copy at the link below for £9.99. To play the disc outside Region 3 requires a region-less DVD player (or software player) and the ability to display NTSC format video - the same as used in North America.
Lack of any commentary and use of documentaries that most of us saw on TV back in November marks this as a particularly disappointing DVD release . . . I also fear they're going to do a George Luca$ on us and announce a far superior DVD edition in the near future once sales of the current release slow down.

just bought the 2-disc dvd today. 1) the chris cornell music video was nice. 2) bond girls are forever doc was great. includes the latest girls from cr. 3) becoming bond doc and 4) james bond : for real doc are i believe docs done back to back and split to make it like 2 docs. and that's all folks. no commentary, no deleted scenes extras. rather bland. i suspect they will come out with a special collector's edition a few months later. this one is an appetiser.

Well, I don't know if the middle of a public road would be a very proper or safe place. I think a hotel room might be more appropriate, if you can't lay her at home.:p

If they do release another one, I will definitely get it, especially if it has an audio commentary. But why couldn't they just put a commentary on this DVD????????

I see on the DVD it says 'Bond Girls Are Forever (2006)'. Does this mean that it is an entirely new documentary, or does it have a bit on the CR girls pasted onto the end or something like that?

They better ship the DVD slightly before the "release date" so that it arrives on the 13th, I even have a countdown going and I dont think I could wait one more day even, going into "-1"
I was looking at amazon.com, for the US. and it says estimated ship date March 13. With 1 day shipping would it then arrive the 13th with the normal mail correct? Or do these usually get shipped earlier than the date it says? The earlier the better, if it doesn't come until the 13th I'll just go to a 24 retailer and pick it up at midnight.

Just saw the first commercial on US tv for the DVD. I saw it while watching Conan O'Brian. I'm sure more commercials will come in the next few days. It will be issued on standard and Blu-Ray DVD.
