Daniel Craig Bond Sideshow doll

Does somebody know if there will be a Craig Sideshow doll available soon? Or perhaps a doll from another company?

Some time ago there was the news (or rumour) that Draig did not like the face of the Craig doll. Since that time I have not heard anything about this anymore.

Does somebody have more news about this?

You may want to give this a look, casino_royale:

On page 3 of that thread, you'll find a link posted by my good friend superado which allegedly shows a prototype of the Craig doll...

Personally, I believe this is a fake---or at least, some other action figure (perhaps one of the WWII action figure lines) being passed off as Craig by whomever first posted the link on MI6. I think it's hideous---and I said so at the time, referring to it as "Mister Hornet Victim," since it looks as if he has been the victim of a facial attack by a swarm of them :o :))

Nothing else has been posted about a possible Sideshow Craig-Bond action figure as of yet, but I'm sure they'll do one...personally, I'm hoping for a Premium Format figure---and, given the astounding success of CR (and Craig himself), perhaps we'll get one. When it's available, I'm sure you'll see it in this forum.

I think that isn't a terrible sculpt, and that if they tightened it up and changed the hair it could come out quite nicely.

Perhaps not...but it'll do until truly 'terrible' comes along B-)

It is strange that Sideshow hasn't announced a Craig figure. I expected them to have one to be released alongside the film. Perhaps they wanted to see if the film would be popular, but since it has been, what are they waiting for?

Perhaps they're busy 'fixing' it...I certainly hope Mister Hornet Victim doesn't represent their best attempt at rendering Daniel Craig---otherwise I might well just hold on to my money :#

I'm holding out hope for a PF figure---posed, ideally, in Craig's shooting stance in the bathroom/gunbarrel scene: the one on the cover of Bond On Set---albeit in the requisite tuxedo...

I think you've answered your own question - they where waiting to see how the film did.
All of the Bond Legacy figures have slipped their shipping date by about 4 months - so perhaps there is also another problem ?

I think that prototype looks just like him. It was supposed to be of him in the opening sequence with the peecoat.

They are probably re-doing it because Craig didn't like it.

If that's the case, I don't blame him at all.

Found this as I was browsing around, thought some of you might want to look.

What impresses me is the accuracy of the pattern in his Madagascar shirt!

That's PEAcoat, if Craig wore a "peecoat" it would have been in the PTS bathroom fight.

    Sorry..........

    Looks like we're getting closer:

Still no definite date, though, and we're yet to see if "Mister Hornet Victim" carries the day, design-wise :o

Here's yet another custom head offering:

    http://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23912

On these 1/6th figure boards, the sculptor first offering of a Tom Hanks (Saving Private Ryan) headsculpt was received with lots of enthusiasm for the level of realism. It looks like the same quality went into the new sculpt, but like the Hanks version it was infused with an exagerated "weariness."

That is a tremendous sculpt - face/features wise its as close as you can get, maybe a little 'less' with the hair - but I'm being picky now !

Wow. Very good indeed. I think the bar has been significantly raised for Sideshow.
