CR--Better with each viewing?

I dunno about anybody else, but I've seen it 3 times now and I've gone from really liking CR to really loving CR. It's the character work that keeps getting richer and deeper, I think Bond/Vesper has eclipsed Bond/Tracy for me--never thought that'd be possible, lol, but that's what I walked out thinking after the most recent viewing of CR.

Anybody else getting this kinda hightened appreciation with multiple viewings? (Also, the score is really popping out at me in good and surprising ways, kudos Mr. Arnold! {[] )

Today I saw it for the third time aswell and I'd have to agree with you one hundred percent. I not only discover something new each time, but I find something I can walk away with really enjoying. My friend, however, today being his third time aswell made the comment that he thinks this was one of the Bond movies that once was enough for a while and even left the theatre for a bit during a few of the slower character building scenes involving Vesper. Vesper was Bond's original love, which I think makes watching CR even more powerful. The film not only stifles my hunger for action, but my love for the development of Bond's character and persona. So yes, like a fine wine, CR just gets better with age. :007)

I will say that I continue to notice new things---or at least better appreciate some of them---with repeated viewings...one of them is the way in which Craig's Bond doesn't even flinch as bullets strike all around him in a particular shot during the Venice finale...and the cold blueness of his eyes, which seems to become more pronounced every time I see the film...

Oh---and the fact that his "Bond...James Bond" makes me grin a bit wider every time I see it B-)

I just took in No. 5. Theater was still about half full, and mostly adults, from what I could tell.

Anyway, I think it's been better each time I've watched it, too. Different plot things you don't pick up at first seem to jump out at you, but then makes things all the more mysterious, which I happen to like. I wish it was on DVD because I'd love to rewind and check a couple things. Someone here at AJB suggested that Gettler (the guy with the hat in Venice) is related to LeChiffre because they both have a problem in their right eye. I'm thinking that could very well be the case. In fact, I'm trying to divine the relationship between LeChiffre, Gettler, Vesper and Mr. White that would fit all the things we see onscreen.

The first time I saw it, I was awestruck. Craig's performance just blew me away . . . his portray of Bond is what I've been waiting years for. Fleming's literary creation had much more depth than his slivescreen counterpart . . . but I think Craig definitely managed to even the score.

I saw it last week for my second time with a friend and enjoyed it even more. I'm hoping to see it a third time this week . . . I'd like to get in at least three viewings before the DVD release.

Moore Not Less

The first time I saw Casino Royale it rather took my breath away. As much as I tried to concentrate and take everything in I couldn't. Second time round I was able to enjoy the film (more if anything) and picked up on a few details I missed previously. I also appreciated certain elements more, like the title sequence and David Arnold's score (especially in the early part of the film).

I am not anticipating a third viewing, even two is very rare for me. Never say never.

I fell in love with the movie the first time I watched it. The second time wasn't as good, I knew what was going to happen, and the awe factor wasn't there. I still loved it, but not as much. I also went to the bathroom mid film and missed the shower scene, which I loved originally. I saw it a third time, though, and loved it just as much as the first time I saw it. I was able to judge it and distance myself from it unlike the first viewing, and I found that I was still captivated by it. So it got worse and then better. My excitement on the first viewing hasn't been topped, though.

I really do think that this film has an enduring quality to it. The comments on this board and elsewhere from people who have never been to see a film more than once or twice (including myself) but were inspired to do so by CR is a testament to the film.

I also really noticed the score the third time I saw it, I love the change in pace of music when Bond finds the tux on the bed - fair enough it gives a nod towards the Hollywood mainstream but I like it, it adds a deal to the light mood of the scene.

This film is class - bring on Nov 08 already!!!

I have seen it 3 times and have picked up something else,I didn't see the 1st.I think it get's better after every viewing.
