I don't know if this has been suggested before, but I have noticed an increasing trend in people posting their reviews of specific films in the Bond canon. Wouldn't it be an idea to have a section just for member's reviews? Just a thought.. :)

I've noticed this also. I wonder why they don't post their reviews in the Last Film seen..... thread in Off Topic.

It is an interesting proposition, but perhaps in posting their reviews these members hope to simulate some sort of discussion or debate. They may be going against the grain of popular opinion or they may be introducing a distinct view of a particular film and there could be a debate to be had about the points being raised. With its own topic each review can lead to such a discussion; with just one topic for all reviews the scope for this sort of debate will be severely constrained.

I can understand the rationale behind one topic for the Casino Royale reviews but on reflection I think this may have been a mistake. There were many interesting reviews of considerable depth in that topic with opinions and interpretations which were worth discussing. Such discussion was fairly difficult given the number of posts and new reviews, understandable as the picture had just been released. I actually missed a number of cogent and intelligent reviews (both for, against and mixed) of Casino Royale and only found them after going back through the topic some weeks later. By that time there seemed little point in responding to some of the thoughts presented in the original member reviews.

To encourage this sort of dialogue, which is surely the backbone of this site, I think one mammoth 'Member Reviews' topic should be avoided.

I am with Lazenby880 on this and I do see his point about the CR reviews. The point of that idea at the time was to stop a huge influx taking over the forum. I agree however it may of been wrong and come the next film it probably won't be actioned like that.

Member reviews on the other hand is a feature that is coming, but it will be more about grading the films and leaving your opinion. I am looking into all sorts of ways to make this dynamic and allow discussions but as I am sure you are all aware there are about 5 million ways to do everything!!
