Bond Art

hello to you all again. It has been a while since being to your wonderful site. In the middle of wrapping up a foundation diploma in art and design. Going on to do fine art for next couple of years at university so you can understand i have been a bit busy of late

this past year of doing art for breakfast, lunch, dinner and naptime has made me realise that the best outcomes were the projects which i enjoyed the most or had a real interest in (for example my local landscape and protraiture)

this got me thinking, being a bond fan, i want to concentrate this summer on creating a series of paintings based on the franchise i dearly love. this is where you come in because i am fairly stumped. there are so many ideas i could do for each film. your thoughts and opinions are greatly welcomed.

there is one vision i would like to make clear to you though, my paintings are to be subtle... ie you would not know it is a bond painting unless you were a bond fan and recognised the piece of scenery or location etc.

i hope this has made it a little clearer of my intentions. Any advice is welcomed with open arms.

thank you

(p.s. Casino Royale ROCKED!!!)

I say, make a painting of a beautiful blonde woman in equestrian gear riding a horse around the Chantilly estate. I would buy 20. ;)

Seriously though, that sounds like a pretty picture, and is Bond, but in a very subtle way.

Whom are you speaking of? ?:) I can recall a blonde woman in a Bond film in the situation that you described, but I don't remember her being beautiful. :p

If you really hate GF, which it seems is fifth on your list, I would love to know what you think of LTK. :))

This thread has started the journey to Closedville. We all know JFF's likes and dislikes, so let's get back to the topic at hand, 'K?

It's only a bit of friendly banter. Play the advantage.

Ah Hardy, I merely provided the artist with inspiration. I'm helping an artistic movement come to life! ;)

For once, JFF, I wasn't wagging the finger at you--instead, I was cautioning those who are baiting you!

every day i keep getting new and new ideas and i really shouldnt, this is my last week and i have an exhibition coming up tomorrow lasting all week! By next weekend i will start putting ideas to paper.

also another idea came to me that the movies are so well ingrained in the public's mind that gettin inspiration from the original novels instead would be a better idea. making it even more subtle than i thought of.

Any ideas and opinions are welcome.

    thank you
