Isn't EON sueing anyone who sells or buys these? It is a cool piece but I would be scared to buy. B-)

The last person to list one had a serious email claiming that Eon had never released their plaques for sale or given any away, therefore were 'stolen property'. It'll be interesting to see what happens here. Elstree for the large part are legit sellers, although there has been some discussion on other sites about the validity of some of their items. This one is most certainly the real deal.

I got offered one of these chips, a while back when I bought a Casino Royale Cocktail menu from the Casino scenes, which you can see on my website.
I didnt buy it for a few reasons, I know that EON were being a bit sensitive about these props, It was being offered for WAY WAY under its market price, but was being offered from the same person I bought the menu from, which included some Original serviettes and a couple of Original Playing cards. So made it very likely it was real. and thirdly, are they really so spectacular?? its a casino Chip... yes a very nice one, But still a chip from a stack of many! and one that may get your hands burnt if EON find out!!!!
It just makes me think just how many did make it out onto the Free Market OR has maybe somebody managed to get some Replicas made somewhere. I have seen at least 3 of these chips for sale over the last 6 months at various different places??? unless they're all the same 1 ??

I agree. I am pretty sure, that EON made a bunch of them for the high-stake scenes.
They are really nice and probably they are pretty rare, but I would not go into the GBP 1000s, which elstree has in mind.
That should be the region for unique and clearly screen-seen movie props and those plaques aren't imo.

    ke02eww,

Thanks for the posting, I looked at the eBay listing and enjoyed reading the discussion.

I am not sure why Elstree didn't put it up on a "buy it now" for the face value.

good question....i'm sure you cd mk them an offer direct....

i suspect the Eon-fear will prevent anyone from bidding....

    give it a try...

    cheers

If they are offering Harrods display stuff for sale to, then I would definately go with 'dodgy', I'm sure a few went walkabout from that display too.

I've just noticed that the seller has ended this listing due to an error in the minumum bid price/reserve price. There were 3 bids on it at the time though. Interesting.

Yeah right, we all knew this was going to happen.
