What to wear to a theme party

Hi - Just joined for some help!

I am off to a Bond theme party next month and want to go as a Bond girl... Been reading the posts on here and have decided that I won't be happy in a bikini but also don't want to wear a boring cocktail or glam dress...

I've not really seen enough Bond movies to know what the Bond girls wore but can anyone suggest anything?

What costume would be the most recognisable? (Not M or MoneyPenny as I know the more unimaginative will choose these!)

Try a google search for Dolly in Moonraker, I bet no-one will go as her. I think she wore a yellow dress, she had her hair in plaits and wore glasses. It would be especially good if a partner went as Jaws.

Also Wai Lin in Tomorrow Never Dies wore an all black cat-suit if I remember rightly.

I'd recommend the Flying Circus. If the material to create the outfit isn't too too time consuming.

I'd have to agree with jamesbondjr. Dolly from MR would be soo much fun, especially if you had a tallish dude to go with (and who was willing to go as Jaws)...have fun! {[]

You could go as a geisha girl if you're brunette, like in YOLT, with a chinese fan and everything. Like the riding outfit, you could get this from a fancy dress store.

Or as Anya in The Spy Who Loved Me, in her Russian uniform outfit and hair up under a hat.

Go as Bibi Dahl from For Your Eyes Only. Just get a heavy winter jacket, earmuffs and some ice skates. Easy.
