ok i think she is one of the most beautiful and sexy bond girls and one of the best characters ever in a bond film Famke janssen is fantastic in the role.I love her no one else would have been as good. i just want to clear some things up about parts of goldeneye with Xenia.

1. the way she kills guys with her thighs ok it is possible but her legs are pretty slim i could see it is she had well built legs..?

2. in the living daylights Q is going through a list of assasins and he comes to a woman and says strangulation with hands or thighs.. was the character of Xenia inspired by this.?

3. Do xenia and 006 have an intimate relationship. if you watch the train scene. when she escorts natalya and ouromov into the train, she walks by 006 and runs her hand over his shoulder in a relationship sort of way if you know what i mean.

4. when she kills the admiral chuck.. when 007 discovers him in the closet. he opens the door look at the expresion on his face as he falls to the ground its a blank expression and when he kits the floor he is smiling, whys that. i dont think a dead body falling would sudently smile once hitting the floor.

5. also the sexual noises she makes when she shoots the computer technitians at servenaya. whats that about, does she just love killing. i see why she makes them when it involves intimate scenes etc. but firing a gun?

6. also when she is trying to kill bond in there last fight she tells natalya to wait her turn couldthis be implying that she is bisexual. o was she going to do the same to her after she killed bond..

please if anyone can shed light on these points that would be great.. i know some things are just for effect. and we should look into things too much. etc.. but anyway.. lets talk about them

yes, but would you really have wanted to see a larger Xenia. Plus - its a movie
    2. in the living daylights Q is going through a list of assasins and he comes to a woman and says strangulation with hands or thighs.. was the character of Xenia inspired by this.?
Could be, however I always felt that she was inspired by Fiona from Thunderball

    3. Do xenia and 006 have an intimate relationship. if you watch the train scene. when she escorts natalya and ouromov into the train, she walks by 006 and runs her hand over his shoulder in a relationship sort of way if you know what i mean.
Never thought of that before - maybe they do. Sometimes the art of good film making is leaving blanks for the audience to fill in on their own. Theres nothing to say that Xenia and 006 were intimate, yet nothing to say that they werent.
    4. when she kills the admiral chuck.. when 007 discovers him in the closet. he opens the door look at the expresion on his face as he falls to the ground its a blank expression and when he kits the floor he is smiling, whys that. i dont think a dead body falling would sudently smile once hitting the floor.
    Must have been a goof

We could get real Freudian and claim that the gun can be a metaphor for a penis - and that the firing made her orgasam. However maybe she was just having a good time and expressed herself vocally when doing so.
    6. also when she is trying to kill bond in there last fight she tells natalya to wait her turn couldthis be implying that she is bisexual. o was she going to do the same to her after she killed bond..
Probably couldnt have taken them both down at the same time, and felt that if she killed Natalya first that Bond would be alive waiting to fight. Again, theres nothing to suggest that Xenia likes girls - we know she likes guys, so shes not a lesbien, but at the same time she could always go both ways.

She probably just enjoys using her body and killing. The sexual pleasure she got came from killing and using her body - not from whoever she was with (maybe thats why she enjoyed being with the canadian)

I think she does get a sexual thrill from killing. :D That's what makes her such an interesting character IMO that she would derive sexual pleasure from killing people.

I don't like labels, but yes, I think she is bisexual. Or at least she doesn't fit the commonly held definition of 'hetrosexual.'

I think that Xenia was more inspired by the crazy, wacky Fatima Blush from NSNA than Fiona.

I think you're right, however IMO she was also alot better than either Fatima or Fiona. I would say that she was the greatest bad girl in the history of the Bond films; a magnificent character who remains unsurpassed in terms of evil and sexy brilliance. :D

See Im not sure about that. Whatever Elektra and Miranda had going certainly worked for them - I would have said I liked them more than Xenia. Miranda especially. I liked Xenia, but I felt she went too far sometimes.

Yep, great bad girl. Both female leads in GE were good IMO.

Just watched GE again, not only did it not move up or down on my favorites list, but Xenia was not all that impressive either, she actually hurts the film. I would rather have had more of the relationship between Bond and Alec, or just more of Natalya Fyodorovna Simonova :x

It seems that we agree on something about a Brosnan film afterall. :o :D
or just more of Natalya Fyodorovna Simonova :x
JFF will be pleased to hear that. ;)

She was really great in the film and doing a goggle search for pictures of her did not hurt either :))

Id agree that she hurt the film - not enough time was devoted to the villian or the primary girl. I think Bond's relationships with them were more important than some random S&M fan

Xenia hurt the film only in context: three bad guys is two too many. I would have prefered a GE with Xenia as the big bad guy (sorry, bad girl ;) ), and solely Xenia. The whole 006 backstory thing didn't work for me at all, too soap operay, and that Russian general would have been better with less screen time, a more minor character.

Of the three villains in GE, Xenia was by far the most interesting and dynamic, wish they'd focused on her more AND at the expense of the other (more blah and bland) two. Shoulda coulda woulda.

Some people might argue that Xenia overbalanced the film but I don't agree with that. IMO her scenes were among the best in the entire film and, if the rest of the film couldn't keep up with her, I don't think it's her fault. ;) I mean, I don't think that she did anything that wasn't suitable for the character she was playing. Was she extreme? I would say delightfully so. Anyway, I think she's absolutely brilliant and I would say that she was the best female character since Anya.

What annoyed me about Alec (whom I liked) was some of his dialogue, such as 'does the vodka martinis drown out the screams of all the men you killed?' 8-)

What I hated about Alec was that I never really felt that Bond and he were partners before he turned evil. I saw it for 10 mins only in a pre title sequence, but I always felt that Bond was a little too cold to get so attatched to a friend - and there was nothing in the film to suggest he was overly attachted to him. Maybe if Tanner or Robinson went evil...
