Hmm...I'd read that Brioni wouldn't be dressing Bond this time round...and with Lindy Hemming not aboard, there's a bit of a 'changing of the guard' with this one. Of course, it's good that Bond will 'wear British' once again B-)

Congratulations to Dunhill and Ms. Frogley {[] I'm looking forward to seeing their work.

Good news on Dunhill; it's not my favourite but Daniel Craig certainly likes it (despite what you may read on this forum, he does know how to dress and wore fully bespoke Dunhill suits to the Baftas, the CR premiere and to the Oscars, where Esquire named him best-dressed male attendee) so I imagine there's been a bit of influence there.

They also make some lovely accessories; lighters, cufflinks etc. including a small range that was even inspired by Bond gadgets! Hopefully Bond gets a few of these lovely things to play with :)

I liked Lindy Hemming, she did a good job of keeping Bond modern, but im also interested in seeing Bonds look in this film and how it might change.

Excellent news. I LOVE Dunhill! They have some amazingly soft leather jackets...

My own thoughts are similar on this one: I'm very pleased that Bond is back in British clothes supplied from one of his spiritual homes in Jermyn Street, and Dunhill have a long-established connection with both the Fleming novels and the films, but it should be noted that this is for their excellent accessories and leathergoods.

Suits are a different matter and not Dunhill's primary concern; I'm not aware that they offer a fully-bespoke service (their website boasts of custom tailoring that is 'evocative' of historic British tailoring). There are certainly better tailors around in this, the heart of London's bespoke industry (Kilgour, Everest or even Boateng would have been my first choices), but other considerations such as ability to supply a high quality product in large volume very quickly have to be factored into the choice.

All-in-all, a positive move. I just hope Dunhill don't have a monopoly on supplying everything and that there is still a variety of other manufacturers such as Lobb, Swaine Adeney and Turnbull & Asser involved.

Well here are their own links talking about Craig's fully bespoke suits and shirts which they provided:

Fair enough, nice suits. Thanks for the link, Mark.

Not a fan of the cod-mouth lapels on the Oscar's dinner suit, but I respect another man's choices on a bespoke outfit.

Yes, odd choice to go for a notched lapel on a dinner jacket, but then he made that up with the one he wore at the Oscars. And the Baftas one is in that rather nice single button/peaked lapel style- I like that.

Seems as though Dunhill won the honor by having the highest bid. IIRC, this is in contrast to Brioni who did not pay a cent and donated their suits for free, with the caveat that they be mentioned in the credits free of charge.

Seems to fit in with the recent comment that Bond would be more casually dressed in 22. Looked at Dunhill website and they seem to be more into smart casual that tailored suits. Be interesting to see what the change of image is in the next film. I know we are in a much more casual culture now, but I would hate to see Bond spending the movie in T shirt jeans and trainers. Part of Bond's personna is that he is always well dressed. I think he got the right balance in Cr.

Rather nice piece about their custom and bespoke manager:

So it seems it was all down to Mr Craig. He really seems to be very hands-on with the whole thing; good stuff.
