Finally, the plaque is sold! I have been tracking it but the price is really too much for me - sold for GBP 411.00(approximately US $845.18)

I really dont understand why they dint sell replicas of the plaques from casino royale along with the replica casino chips set and cards.

The price of these plaques are a bit of a rip - off. I think

I would never pay the asking amount for them the prices of them on ebay are a joke.

I'd have to agree with Scaramanga on this one, but I am a bit of a do-it-yourselfer. I wonder if one were to purchase the replica plaque thats around $20, if it can be modified to ad that missing "E"......

That is just for a 500K plaque, the seller claim to have the 1M plaque too - but not for sale though. He had put this same item on Ebay a few times at crazy price like GBP 999 or let people bid and pull the item off at the last minutes.

I'd be willing to bet it would be really tough. Which is a shame. It would be cool to have authentic replicas of the chips/plaques. The missing "E" is really distracting.
    "Resurrection."

Yea, that IS a lot of money - way, way out of my price bracket, although it is a lovely item to have. I suppose if money were no object, then.... :x

Still, I find it difficult to understand why there was never an official product run of these - seems like a missed opportunity to me ?:)

The plaques that sell for $20.00 are fine for what they're worth, but not only is the E missing both plaques are small from the originals, Corgi has a Casino Royale plaque, i believe it's a promo item that one gets if you buy a car or something, this plaque has the E and is the right size plaque but the downfall is the Corgi name on it.

The replicas are great fun but not correct at all. I did a comparison some time back...

Profiles in History are putting a pair of plaques up for auction through eBay Live on 14 December. You can preview the sale here.

If they stay within the estimate (US$ 600-800)--which I doubt--they don't seem unreasonable ... at least given their rarity. It really makes no sense that the market is absolutely flooded with the chips--most fraudulently claimed as screen-used--while the plaques are supposedly prohibited.

Thanks for the link, it'll be really interesting to see what price these fetch.

I can only agree with your thoughts on the chips and plaques - it's silly !
