Is George Lazenby the richest Bond actor of all?

I read that he is very rich through wise property investments and marrying one rich woman!
Is it true? Would be great if he was, what an irony! I imagine that Dalton is probably the poorest...

    I would have thought this too.

    We have had the same topic a while ago and I have been very surprised to hear that George Lazenby infact IS the richest. I don't remember exactly, but he came into the real estate business with funds of his former wife or so.
    I think, that there is something on Wikipedia under George Lazenby about this.

    Now that certainly would suprise me. But then again, he has been out of the public eye for a long time. While Connery was acting for large sums of money, Lazenby could have been sitting in the back making great money.

    Um, no. For a long time, he was married to an heiress to the Gannett Newspapers fortune. However, his current wife Pam Shriver (ex-professional tennis player) has no relationship to Maria Shriver or the Kennedy family.

    As to the broader question of who's the richest Bond portrayer...I don't know if anyone really knows, but it is certainly fair to say that George is not hurting financially.

    Sunday Times Rich list has Sir Sean Connerys wealth at 85m. It lists Roger Moore and his wife Kristina Tholstrup at 50m. Roger is 1446th in britain and Sir Sean is 924th. I would have thought Pierce would be the nearest, but he doesn't live in the UK so is not listed, not sure where Lazenby lives (Australia maybe). Can't find there estimated wealth anywhere.

    I thnk we should care about who the poorest Bond is .....

    I see Timothy Dalton, sitting up on a bed in a darkened one room loft, smoking a cigarette and looking out at the world though the dim light provided by a dirty glass window. On the bed is a half empty bottle of wine and an empty pack of Camels. He has two books, an annotated volume of Shakespeare and Casino Royale.

    Maybe we could take up a collection?

    I don't think that any Bond could be described as 'poor.' :)) As for Dalton, I'm sure he's doing just fine. ;)

    I was just teasing .... just loved Dalton in "Hot Fuzz", especially when he referred to Sgt. Angle as "777" .... he was a great oo7!

    Sad news for George Lazenby-His wife is suing him for divorce,citing "irreconcilable differences" as her explanation.Both Lazenby(who's 68),and his soon to be ex-wife Pam Shriver(who's 46),are fighting over custody of their three children.They were married for six years.

    I'm not sure about Lazenby but I think that Dalton isn't the poorest of all Bonds at all. I think that Craig is still the poorest because the rumours say that he got only one million from the role of James Bond in Casino Royale and before that he had done only small roles...

    Timothy Dalton got 3 million dollars from the living daylights and two million more from his second performance. That was very big amount of money in the 80's. And he got 5 millions dollars from the scarlett too! :D So I think that he certainly isn't the poorest Bond actor.

    Brosnan got these from his performances:

    Goldeneye - 1 mil
    TND - 5 mil
    TWNE - 9 mil
    DAD - 13-15 mil

    So that's very much I think but 13 million dollars in 2002 means quite little in the 80's for example...

    By the way, all the Bond actors (but no Dalton) are way too ambitious and selfish actors. They have hit and mocked their fans and so on. Only Dalton have been very gentle :)
