Something to ponder

What would a space with light but nothing else look like?
It's all right. It's quite all right, really. She's having a rest. We'll be going on soon. There's no hurry, you see. We have all the time in the world.

Well, it would depend on the light's color and wavelength. Also if there was no matter around for the light to reflect from, it would depend on your eye's location in relation to the light source. If it was bright enough, it could blind you, making the whole area look enveloped in light. The light would have to come from a source unless you were completely surrounded by energy that is giving off a light, in which case it could look just like the "loading program" in The Matrix when nothing has been loaded--pure white and nothing else. :)

...Or were you looking for a less scientific theory? :D
