Where Does QoS Rank?

My question is where on your list of favourite Bond films does Quantum of Solace lie?

This film seems to really polarise peoples opinions. Personally I loved it.

I would rank the film on a par with Casino Royale (maybe slightly better)

So to answer the question Quantum of Solace lies 4th on my list of favourite films behind GF, OHMSS, and DN.

I put it straight in at 2nd. And I'm not the type to get carried away. Although I did once think that Highlander 3 was outstanding on its initial release in 1994. Hey, I was 19 and a bit drunk. :))
But I'm sure QoS will stand up to repeated viewings.

I don't think I'd be able to put ALL of the Bond films into one ranked list. From each generation they're just so different.

However if I could do it, it would rank pretty high!

After my second viewing, Its either 2nd or 3rd. OHMSS, CR, and QOS comprise my top 3. My favourite often flits between CR and OHMSS, however.

You'll enjoy it all the more when it gets there, Mark- and Dan, too. I'm thinking about seeing it again on Tuesday.

It has its faults, mainly in the first part, but there's a lot to enjoy there too.

Have you decided where you're going to put it on your list...or are you waiting for a second viewing?

I'm not a great list maker- my favourites change from time to time- but this film needs a second viewing more than most.

I definitely need to give it a second viewing, but for now, I put it in at number 12. I think it's a pretty good entry to the bond series, and I also rank it higher than CR. However, as I've only seen it once, my opinion is bound to change.

I think when I eventually see it, I will rank it #8, being the second best modern film of the series, behind CR.

CR, QOS, GE, FRWL and DR NO.

I liked it very much, but CR was better beacuse I liked it´s story even more.

I often put the newest Bond movie straight to the top, and have done mainly since LTK. However, I didn't do that with DAD and was disappointed with TWINE. CR has been at the top since 2006.

Now QoS deffo has the potential to go top, I will just have to wait until I have seen it a few times. I do hope someone has NOT heeded Daniel's warning and that I get a pirate copy DVD soon! :v

I recon by Christmas QoS will be my number one, just need to let things settle.

Indeed. :# By the time I eventually see QOS, on the 22nd, people will have started discussing Bond 23. :))

Straight in at number 3 for me behind CR and my all time favourite FRWL. However, it MAY change after further viewings. I remain very upbeat about QOS despite what the 'experts' may say.

at the moment its about number 10/11 on my list. There's about 9 bond films i love, 7 which i find enjoyable, 4 i found average and 2 that i found boring. But this might change after my second viewing.

It's at number 2 for me...and I've only seen it once...although I don't think it will ever knock CR off the top spot...CR was the whole package for me...whilst QoS is more of a follow up.

So it's CR, QoS, TSWLM, and DN....

At the minute QoS sits at number 4 in my list. Not sure if will get much higher than that, but it certainly won't drop any lower - well, until Bond23 anyway :))

I'm curious about where it will end up for me . . . right now, much as I enjoy Daniel Craig's interpretation of Bond, CR still ranks below the Connery Bonds and OHMSS -- essentially ahead of anything else. At times, it feels like a tie with OHMSS, but I find that Diana Rigg edges out Eva Green for ultimate Bond babe. Where will QoS rank in the Bond films is a mystery based on what I read.

I personally rank this film fairly low as bond films go and I am surprised that such avid fans are ranking so high. I found myself feeling bored midway through as the idea of a secret powerful organization trying to control the water supply of such an insignificant country seemed not appropriate to their power, the hole underground reservoirs seemed very silly when compared to the story line of casino royale, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The fact that the hole film seemed never to be in one location and shifted too many times i found annoying at best and the lack of character development was also a let down, as Ms Fields seemed to go as fast she appeared?? As action films go however it was entertaining and Daniel certainly filled the shoes of Bond very well, i suppose in fairness, in my opinion as casino royale was such a great reboot to the franchise to follow that would be quite difficult, however still disappointed even after 2 viewings!
