In the trailer & poster, but not in the movie

(This may not be a spoiler but I added the tag just in case.)
The image of Bond walking over the rocky horizon with the giant gun was not in the movie.
Anyone know if this was going to be in the movie and cut?
Was it a "just for the trailer" thing or left over from Casino Royale?

I'd guess that it was made especially for the trailer.
