Ray Tomlinson, the email innovator (he first used the "@" symbol in emails) died last week at the age of 74. Not a household name by any means, but it's important that we remember him as he revolutionised our online communications:
Ken Adam , much like John Barry , was the spirit of the Bond films.....it's prolly the biggest death in the Bond world since Richard Kiels passing if you ask me (no disrespect to the other Bond stars that have left us)
Feb 19th marked 30 yrs since Adolfo Celis passing , may he RIP.......
I remember him and Debbie coming down here to do a show for the forces back in about 1998. I was on the same plane returning back to the UK with him and remember Debbie wearing this huge fur / mink coat when we refuelled on Ascension Island in 40 degrees heat!!! After 18 hours of flying we eventually landed at RAF Brize Norton and I was stood next to him while we were waiting for our luggage on the carousel and had a quick chat. Half hour later when I exited the airport terminal I bumped into him again whilst we were both waiting for our transport. Standing on the pavement I was expecting some fancy car or limo to pick him up however this ancient Ford Escort pulled up and him and Debbie jumped in!!!!
Anyhow over the years I often wondered why he was not on the tele again instead of the reality crap we have nowadays.

Garry Shandling has died at 66. He was a great comedian, and It's Garry Shandling's Show was a hilarious comedy that paved the way for Seinfeld. And Shandling was breaking the fourth wall decades before Deadpool. RIP.

RIP Ronnie Corbett - another comedy legend passes
Seriously underrated due to his work with Ronnie Barker, Ronnie Corbett was a comedic master -{
It's only recently come out that Adrienne Corri has died. She was in a lot of things, from Dr. Zhivago to some schlocky horror flicks and episodes of the old Dr. Who; but she's most famous for getting her clothes snipped off by Malcolm McDowell in the rape scene from Clockwork Orange. RIP.
Normally here on Tributes thread ,we discuss the latest death of some one famous , well here is my tribute to my people ,
Yesterday in deepest SOWF LUNDEN (South London ) we all met up at Honor Oak crematorium .to say goodbye and pay our final respects to a man (I wont mention his name) who amongst us geezers was a giant of a man ,not in size but in his persona .He would by all means in another time or era be the Godfather ,not because he was vicious or frightening ,far from it ,but he commanded respect ,both in his own family and all families intertwined through marriage ,friendship ect we all loved him .It was standing room only at the small chapel . Like salmon we all made our way home to the place of our births . We the grand children and great grand children ,of those inhabitants of the Old Kent road ,Peckham,Camberwell Brixton ,Bermondsey ,we the young children ,whom whos parents left the terraced houses with out side loos to move out to the new suburbs of Kent into the new houses and villas of Sidcup ,Bexleyheath,Bromley,Chislehurst ,to start a better life out in the countryside as it was known then .
now just another London suburb .Our grandparents ,those who came home from the war and survived the nightly bombings ,all lived in this part of London ,and most are buried here . .how proud they would be to see their great and grand children arrive in
their sharpe tailored suits ,all driving the latest German marques .No buses or walking to the dock yards to beg for work for us ,
We stood shoulder to shoulder all wearing our RayBans our Tom Fords, our Oakleys ,not beause it was sunny ,no we didn't want any one to see that we had cried , Rows of big men stood in silence trying to stop the tears rolling down our cheeks .This is who we are
this is who we was the boys had come home,to lay to rest our Guvnor ,We were Londoners we was proud , RIP my friend
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

2016 - What a year it's been for beloved celebs passing on...
