4 minute preview trailer

It is being reported all over the internet that Berenice Marlohe was in Barcelona for CineEurope, where Sony showed off a four minute reel of footage from Skyfall. Does anyone know anything about it? I have read on other blogs & forums the description but since I do not know if it is real I am going to leave it off this post.

CineEurope is an annual event/conference/exhibition for exhibitors and distributors of the film industry. Sony were one of numerous companies showcasing their upcoming films. As well as Skyfall, footage for The Amazing Spiderman and Django Unchained was presented.

I have read posts elsewhere talking about a four minute extended trailer for Skyfall being shown to test audiences. One poster on IMDb claimed to have seen it and described what he could remember. Other than that, nothing.

There apparently was a lot of doubt as to the legitimacy of the poster on IMDb. I've seen the post and if what the individual claims to have seen is true, we are in for an incredible Bond film. But again, a majority of people who read the post believe it to be bogus.

A legitimate IMDb source saw additional footage at a location where one might expect to see such footage, so more than one trailer was produced.

My guess is they are just testing footage for the reactions. The only new footage we will see anytime
soon is just a 2nd trailer. Although they might release clips or a four minute trailer closer to the release,
say october. This is just my theory.

There are further rumours of an extended teaser trailer floating around. Something bigger to devour before the feast of the theatrical trailer that will probably appear in September.

This is what the reviewer said: (possible spoilers, if true).

    Clocked it at around 4minutesish.

Can't contain my excitement. It looks SO good! There's so much new stuff! Can't remember everything but I'll try, don't expect these to be in order...

Extended Bond training, lovely shots of him swimming in a pool.
Bond and M driving in the DB5, M's saying something about being on the run, and they need to be as far away as possible.
Bond running and shooting in a building.
Bond in a tux, getting thrown across a room.
Bond telling M that people are coming to kill them (This was in the teaser, but it showed a reaction shot from M)
Bond in a casino of some sort, brushing past a very beautiful woman.
M SHOOTING A GUN! I think it was the P99!
Javier Bardem walking towards a burning building.
Ralph Fiennes saying something about conspiracy and M's up to her neck in it.
An AMAZZZING shot of Bond throwing himself onto the back of a train, then falling off the side and hanging on.
Bond running away from an expolosion in scotland.
A woman looking out at a window, thats been shot out (from the trailer)
Bond running through a tunnel, looks like it's on fire behind him.
Ben Whilshaw as Q! Informing Bond about changes to his DB5. Then it shows Bond and M in what looks like a disused warehouse, with the Aston. Q saying that it has a gps system, and a system link to Tanner, so he can keep in touch with them. (Looks like Tanner is staying behind, and secretly helping them)
    Bond fighting a guy underwater.
Niomie Harris' character driving a jeep, and avoiding loads of cars falling off a train.
Bond running along the top of a train.
Shot of the DB5 firing a missile(!)
    M looking at 8 coffins.
Bond walking through Trafalgar Square looking pissed off.
Javier Bardem in what looks like a really old building, in the dark.
Bond throwing loads of punches. (loads of shots like this, but they all look awesome)
Bond getting thrown into water, and then it shows a close up of his hands and face, bubbles coming out of his mouth.
Bond fighting a guy from the teaser in that office building. Bond got headbutted.
Bond in this really well lit room, looking over a dead man in a chair.
Bond holding Niomie Harris in front of her, kissing her neck and her smiling.
MI6 HQ blowing up and M getting thrown back.
Bond and M in front of the DB5, and Bond pouring them both a drink.
Bond turning around and firing a gun.
A Bloody Bond walking away from someone in the background.
A train coming through a ceiling.
Bond taking out his gun and attatching a silencer.
Bond on a really colourful motorway.
A woman kissing Bond on a boat, just after Bond walks up to her.
Bond opening a door with his gun arm raised.
    DB5 skidding round a corner.
Dramatic shot of Judi Dench with ash on her face, standing outside in snow.
A train going over a bridge and blowing up, Bond jumping off it in slow motion.

The title bit is amazing! Bond turns and shoots at the screen, wearing a suit. A gunbarrel forms around him and spins. Bond walks slowly toward us, with his gun at his side, through the gunbarrel (like the teaser poster)

The dialogue, i can't remember much of, it all went over me. There's bits and pieces of it. Bond introduces himself though! "Bond James Bond." I think he's saying it to Bardem. The music is about 3 minutes worth of that electronic Bond theme from the teaser, new mix then it turns into a fully orchestral Bond theme. It sounded very nice.
    The name's Bond_James_Bond

Sounds very promising! My impression is that more traditional Bond elements are in place, including q showing 007 an Aston Martin with gadgets.

Shot of the DB5 firing a missile(!)

Mabey Q got them to work from putting them in In DAF. :))

If this is true it sounds great. Perhaps not the slightly lighter tone or elements some of us are hoping for, but very exciting.

Well, I didn't read this and I don't agree with that 4 minutes trailer... I don't want the same marketing like with that stupid Amazing Spider-man where you can make from the trailers 25 minutes of the footage! I also don't want these stupid 4 minutes trailers full of spoilers and I don't want another 5 trailers. I'm happy with the one Teaser Trailer and then one normal 2 minutes Theatrical Trailer like it was for Quantum and then a few of TV Spots (you never catch all of them) and I'll be very happy, but please no modern marketing strategies.

These 4 minute previews are not for broad public consumption. They are put together typically for industry gatherings and test audiences to get good hype and advance buzz going for the film. The general public will only see the teaser and eventually a full two minute trailer.

Yeah, but still I'm worried, because The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo had nearly 4 minutes Theatrical Trailer and Spider-man had an internet exclusive 4 minutes preview, so I just hope that Bond marketing office will stay a little bit "old school" in this. ;)

Sounds fantastic to me! B-) But I'm also curious as to the early rumblings about a lighter, campier approach. No evidence of that at all...but then again, I was actually happy with the level of humour in CR---and QoS :007)

There was no evidence of a lighter approach in the teaser trailer. The evidence I am aware of comes from DC himself. In interviews he has said that there is more humour in Skyfall and there are some very funny lines.

As for the level of humour in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. I was also happy with the level of humour in CR, but found QoS to be humourless.

My thoughts excatly. Hopefully in Skyfall they'll get back to more of a CR feel. Which I think they
will as at the news conference it was getting all the Name checks, while poor old QOS didn't really
    get a mention.
I'd be happy if they got a couple of killer One-liners in. Especially if they had a cruel undertone
as I think D Craig would suit a more Connery type kind of "Put down" line, rather than the tongue
    in cheek Moore lines.

on the whole i agree with that lot, but there are some Moore lines ("not from where I'm standing") which always make me chuckle.

i think skyfall will please most of us tbh, from what I'm hearing and know about it, it's gonna be one hell of a film. I just hope the film lives up to the speculation and hype, but i'm 80% certain it will.

And once again I find myself in complete disagreement...I thought QoS had more humour than CR...the banter when he first meets Fields...and with Camille pretty much throughout...for me, they got it just about right in QoS...I don't want a return to the Brosnan films where they had to crowbar the line in....Brosnan was poorly served with his scripts...

    Come on.

"One liners" have been redundant since Rog was retired. He and Sean COULD do 'em.

Tim did 'em begrudingly with a slight sardonic smile, Broz with hand raised "here comes the line" and a plastic grimace, and DC's as crap at, and superior to, 'em as Tim.

    Keep it straight, then, Sam.

"We are teachers on sabbatical, and we have just won the lottery." :)) Humour, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

It would be nice if they keep the character-based stuff we've seen of late, in my opinion. One-liners, if used, had better be good---and I also think it's time for a tie-straightening :007)

I was about to mention that line myself, I loved some of the humour in QOS, that line in particular, and the way that DC did a very quick about face when he saw the state of the first hotel was priceless, very subtle though and thats the difference. I don't want to hear a drum crash after every line.

It hit rock bottom with 'Mr Kill' in DAD for me...oh dear, talk about forcing a line 'a name to die for' Shame on Purves and Wade for that, we were heading right for Dr Evil!

You'll be telling me next Craig-Bond didn't get expelled 'cos he never shagged one of the maids as she found him a bit too common.

And we know that nookie aint as high a priority for Craig-Bond as it was his predecessors....
